Called and voicemail said they fI'll up fast walk ins welcome and it didn't sound like they take appts. maybe they do but never got to speak with a person. I have kids with ADHD. I don't have luxury to walk in and wait forever since you're so "popular and busy". Seems when people get enough money or business to their liking they can afford to treat customers any way. No thanks read more

Klay has great prices. It's a great haircut every time. Very personable and a great experience.

Klay is the man for everything, everytime. Love the vibes and the interior this place has especially that "Hayabusa" in short and sweet, give this place a visit, ask for Klay to take care of you and Trust me, you won't regret it. read more

This was the first and only barber that I've been to in the Kent area, and I'm lucky to have stopped by when I first moved to the area. I've been going here for four years since, and I've had an excellent haircut every single time. Haircut is always as requested, and I really appreciate that Klay takes his time to make sure everything is done well. Also was super nice when Klay remembered me after coming here several times, and remembered the exact cut that I get! There usually is a bit of a wait during peak times (the wait is still absolutely worth it), but the atmosphere is great, and there is usually a movie playing in the background to help pass the time. The price is very reasonable, and it's really nice to be able to fully trust your barber with your hair. Hands down the best barber I've ever been to. read more

I stopped n for a beard trim after not having been in a barbershop for 7 years. Klay made me feel good and look amazing. Definitely will be a new regular!! read more

I travel a lot for work. It is very hard for me to trust a random place (especially in Kent, Ohio) to cut my hair. But Klay at Frazier's just gave me a top notch hair cut for an unbeatable price. He's nice, personable, humorous, and communicates effectively to provide customers with a great hair cut. I am immediately recommending Klay to cut the hair of all my acquaintances in Kent. If I'm ever back and need a fresh cut, there's no doubt I'm coming to Frazier's. Few things to know: ***CASH ONLY*** Opens at 10am and he will take his last cut at 2:30-2:45 Coffee available Expect to wait but understand it is totally worth it. read more

Frazier's Barber Shop - As you walk in, see Klay about to cut another frequent customer's hair. - Barbers Near Me - Kent, Ohio

I've been going to Klay Frazier since 1997 when he was at Ink's barbershop. Since then I've lived all over the country and cannot find a barber as good as Klay. I just wait until i come home to Cleveland to get my haircut. I love that when i sit in his chair all i have to say is "make me look good" and he handles the rest. I saw some other reviews about people saying Klay is a racist or hates Army vets. I am a mixed race Air Force veteran. And while i am very liberal in my political views and Klay may be conservative, we have disagreed on topics but Klay has never disrespected me in the 22 years I've known him. Unfortunately we live in a time where we as a society dont think, talk, and reason with others who have different views and life experiences. Klay actually doesn't like to talk politics, but its a barber shop. Its going to come up. If you want a great haircut from a decent guy visit Frazier's. If you have a fragile ego...maybe not the barbershop for you. But their are plenty of daycare centers in the area that may be a better fit. read more

I arrived to this shop about an hour and 10 minutes before it closed. Place was empty, except for one guy already in a chair and looking almost finished. The barber told me he couldn't take anymore customers because he wouldn't have time. Maybe it's me, but I've never had it take an house to trim my hair up. Will not go back. If he can't do a cut/trim in an hour, then he's not good enough. Edit: In a response from this owner, it has become clear that he dislikes Army veterans due to him being a Marine, and allegedly he served in Desert Storm and Desert Shield so he can make blanket statements about hating other veterans from other branches. Please do not go to this place. This man doesn't deserve this communities business. read more

I took my boyfriend here to get a haircut and beard trim. Before choosing Frazier's we looked at several different barbers and reviews. This being said, I am so glad we chose Frazier's. The barber was friendly, the service was wonderful, and he went above and beyond by taking his time and ensuring we were both happy with the result. We will be coming back! read more

I have been a customer for 5 plus years. I have always felt welcomed. Klay has always been respectful and on point with every cut. Klay has "gifted " hands. He takes his time and is very precise! Kudos to Klay. Ms. Claudia read more

Was looking for a place to get my Beard trimmed after Christmas 12/26/2014 and thanks to Yelp I found Frazier's, Klay was so knowledgable when it came to having my Beard trimmed. If your looking to get straightened up, trimmed up or lined up this is the spot. read more

Recently moved to Kent area and decided to get a cut at Frazier's Barber Shop. Klay knew the exact cut that suited me and executed it to perfection (shadow fade). There was a wait but it was more than worth it for the quality of the haircut. Great environment and conversation. Will be a regular at Frazier's from here on. Definitely recommend for those that want a quality haircut, just try to get there early and give yourself enough time as there is often a line due to customers regularly coming back. read more

I was sick of the high turnover in places like Lady Janes, and hated getting a slightly different haircut every time I went to a Great Clips. All I wanted was to find a barber (a real one) who actually knew what he was doing. Klay Frazier is the real deal. After you've been there a few times, Klay remembers your name and your haircut. There's always a movie playing, and the place is immaculately clean. The last time I went to a barber shop that did work this good, it was a place about 10 minutes from an Air Force base. Klay's prices are more than fair for the quality of his work. Tip: this is an actual barber shop that does outstanding work. If you're going on a weekend, bring cash, plan on a wait, and enjoy the conversations. The way you make a reservation is by walking in the door and sitting down. read more

So, I found Frazier's by accident and by looking on Yelp. I had been looking for a barbershop in the Kent area, for 2yrs after moving here from Cleveland. It was getting a little expensive to drive to Cleveland to get my haircut and my barber Maria got really sick and was hit or miss for a long time. I needed a decent old school barbershop and I found that in Frazier's. Frazier's is a good old school Barbershop. Siccors, trimmer and straight razor. Klay and Matt aka the Old Man and Stoic, do a great job on cutting hair. Note this is an old school Barbershop. Klay, knows how to keep things PG-13 when there are children and women in the shop. If you want a cappuccino, hug and to discuss your feels, this isn't the barbershop for you. You like old school conversation, and a really good hair cut. Go see Klay and Matt. You won't be disappointed. I measure a good haircut (Matt, just today cut my hair), by how my wife greets me after getting my haircut. If she thinks I look good then that's a good cut and my wife likes the cut and so, do I. Again, Klay and Matt do a great job. I've found a real great old school Barbershop that I like. If you're in Kent go see the Old Man and Stoic, at Fraizer's. You won't find two better Barber's than Klay and Matt read more

Came here for my first cut in 3 years. Never had my hair cut by anyone other than my mom, who mostly worked with my super long hair. I was nervous but also ready to chop my hair off and Klay helped me feel good about it. He had me pull up a few pics of cuts I liked and gave me his 2 cents and it turned out nice! Walking distance from my apartment so I can't see my self going anywhere else. read more

Klay was very helpful for helping me with what i wanted and on making sure i liked what was done. Great conversations with him as well, i like how it's first come first serve as well and all for a great price! Hope to keep going back to him for haircuts in the future. read more

Stopped in because of the reviews on yelp. I was not disappointed. I was visiting from out of town and was reluctant to cheat on my barber from Chicago. But, if it's out of state, it doesn't constitute as cheating...... Anyway, Klay is an amazing individual and masters the art of barber. I'm going to be more critical of my barber at home. He posses great listening skills and makes suggestions beforehand. I was not disappointed. Very genuine guy. I definitely plan on letting my hair and beard grow out before my next visit. Klay, you have a loyal out of state customer. I'm looking forward to my next time visit. read more

Finally........after 46 years of hair cuts I've finally found a home. Great cut, great price, and most importantly a great barber. Thanks again Klay, I'll definitely be back! read more

Does not follow advertised hours, very unprofessional, this has been ongoing. I have waited to leave a bad review hoping it was a fluke. Excuses are like rearends, we all have one and they all stink. They are most certainly not open during advertised hours the majority of the time. I have tried to drop in or call in a dozen times in the last 6 months, never once has the door been unlocked, never once has the phone been answered. You did call back and leave a voice-mail berating me for calling you out on this once before, and apparently I'm not the only one you've done that to judging by recent reviews. You should change your business to reflect "by appointment only" to avoid more poor reviews if you're going to consistently decide to open the doors 2 or 3 hours late, if you even open at all. Unprofessional and inexcusable, it is baffling as to how you've stayed in business at all. I wait to leave bad reviews until I feel there is no other option. This 1 star has long since been earned, at least the chain locations are consistently open and don't make excuses for when they are not. Sad pathetic excuses at that. I got 1 great haircut there 2 years ago, nothing but issues since. Very unprofessional. Being good at what you do but being bad at running a business does not excuse you from poor reviews. Nor does it make up for the fake reviews you post to counter the bad reviews you've received. The owner handles criticism very poorly as well. I would've been satisfied with leaving just a Google review, but his poor response there has motivated me to leave my review on every outlet possible. DO NOT RECOMMEND! (Just look at how he's handled this review) read more

Nice shop, nice barber. Klay has an insanely good memory, so after you've been in once or twice he'll recognize you right away. Hard to spot from the road as its sign is shared with another business -- its right next to Campus Camera. Haircuts are great and at a fair price. Couldn't really ask for anything better. This was the first barber I tried in Kent (had to find a new place after Jim's burnt down in Garrettsville), and I've had no reason to look elsewhere. read more

Today was my first visit to the barber shop and it did not disappoint. Klay is a pretty funny guy and makes everyone walking in feel comfortable and welcome. The shop reminded me of my barber shop I went to growing up. Klay goes above and beyond to make you look great with no extra charges. Be aware it is cash only but a trip to the ATM prior is worth it! read more

Due to the larger number of hipsters walking around Kent, it is hard to find a traditional barber that know what they're doing. I have been looking for a barber shop with that "Back-Home" east coast feel and this is by far the best that the Midwest has to offer in the Kent area. The guys (Clay & Javier) are great. They give you the look you ask for. Being on a college campus, these guys are skilled in their craft and are used to clipping guys from all ethnic backgrounds. Irish, Black or Mexican, they will make you look good. Oh, and they have a flat-screen to watch sports or whatever while you're waiting and getting cut and it seems like there is never a shortage of conversation. Child-friendly. Highly recommend! read more

Been going to this Barber shop for awhile now and always have gotten good quality haircuts also 10$ for first haircut

Stopped by during business hours today (9:00-2:00 Saturday) I was there at 11:30 and the door was locked and lights off.

Okay cut my hair and it was The best haircut I've had before. The treatment was top notch. Not to mention the movie collection you can chose from if you so wish. Very very professional and is an absolute five star business! read more

Matt made my first experience at a barber shop one that I shall not forget! I am so very pleased with his attention to detail and the time he took to give me a haircut that I ended up getting plenty of compliments from family and friends who never noticed before when I would get my haircut. The hot shave on my neck felt sensational and relaxing and the eye brow trim (both complimentary) made for a finished product with which I am most pleased! read more

Clay was cutting my fathers hair for years. We followed him from Ink's when he opened the shop. A good barber is hard to find. Also, you don't have to read a stupid cosmopolitan or people magazine while you wait. This is the place in Kent to get your hair cut if you are a MAN. Beauty shops just aren't for me. read more
