We came upon a Renaissance-faire type of setup with lots of period-dressed people doing magic tricks, offering medieval kinds of wares - very funny & kitschy Inside the cathedral, it's amazing what preservation efforts have afforded us for the majestic splendor. Not gilded or ornate by any means, this is beauty all on its own Well worth a visit when coming to the Meissen region

Now the castle. 10/10 would recommend the first room to the left. You put on these fancy slippers and it becomes an ice skating rink. I could spend HOURS in this room. Of course the rest of the museum is beautiful and offers a lot of information but man I would pay just to ice skate in that room every single day.
