What a surprise it was to find a food truck like this in Hamburg…read more A fresh cooked, juicy, cheese smothered, fried onion topped, crispy bacon laden, sauce covered burger of gastronomic delight! Most burger shops in America would be hard pressed to turn out a sandwich this tasty, much less from a truck. It appears the cook/owner has found his true calling in making one of the best hamburgers that I've had in a long time. I opted for one of the lower tier burgers, but if one has the appetite, he can make you a double patty behemoth with the works on it. I wanted to be able to eat the next day, so I had to restrain myself... The cook starts out with fresh ground beef that he cooks in front of you and when done, tops it with anything you desire. Then, your piping hot burger is wrapped in paper, cut in half, and handed to you with a smile. Look out tastebuds, here it comes! The menu sticks to burgers, but they are made perfectly and with consistency. Drinks are available and usually a couple of tables are set up so you can nosh on your burger nearby or take it with you if you please. The truck moves to different spots around town, so you may need to check online for the current location to get your F-Burger fix. So, when you've had your fill of wiener schnitzel, sauerbraten, and scheinehaxe, you may want to check out some fresh ground beef for your next lunch! We were pleasantly surprised to see it was a burger "truck"...and we were hungry!! I'll just get straight to the point and say we were so so so satisfied and impressed. I've tried pretty much all the burgers (burger trucks, the newer trendy burger restaurants) in Hamburg and I really just have to say Burger de Ville is my favorite! I appreciated the incredibly friendly service. The guys working in the truck are just soooo nice and enthusiastic about the product. We asked about the meat and the one guy gave us all the details of how it's produced at a nearby farm and delivered fresh. And you can really taste that in the burger!! To the other reviewers who say the burger is too small for the high price they cost...I say no. The burger is a little smaller than some competing burger restaurants in Hamburg - but the price is extremely worth it for the level of freshness you're getting. If you want to pay stupidly low prices for bad quality, go to McDonalds (where in reality the prices aren't that low, either) I've been here about 10 times and my favorite burger is the Jalapeno burger ...it is served with a deliiiicious chili-mayo. YUM :-) And it is absolutely COVERED with jalapenos. My bf and I usually share the Funky fries topped garlic oil and parsley...mmmmmmm!! Only thing that sucks is if the weather is bad. Then you gotta take the burger "to-go" or tough it out and eat it outside in the cold. But that's always the case with burger trucks. I highly recommend trying this burger for yourself. :-)

Our organic beef comes from Biohof Zempow in Brandenburg and our buns are our own specialty recipe produced in a bakery in Berlin. All sauces are homemade and our choice of fries, cooked in peanut oil, is fantastatic: regular fries with sea salt, funky fries with parsley and garlic, italian fries with parmesan and rosemary, sweet potato fries.
