Nestled in the neighborhood of...honestly I have no idea where I am right now. It is literally the establishment at the end of the street...minus the murder. Save yourself a headache, use Google maps. When we entered the bar we were warmly greeted by everyone in the room. The decor is early dive bar. We got the onion rings as an appetizer. We will come back (if we can find it again) for the onion rings alone. Thick cut and lightly battered, they were a huge hit. We came in on $5 basket night drawn by the promise of a pork cutlet battered and fried. My daughter ordered the $5 cheeseburger...twice. I want to be clear. At no point did we think OMG I can't believe this is only $5. And that's not a criticism. It's comforting to go to a place and get exactly what you were expecting. Good food. A music playlist of Michael McDonald, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin. Hearing a dick joke repeated at least 4 times (the guy's name is dick). Friendly neighborhood people. A foodie would not be impressed, but if you're a person who is in bed by 9:00pm at the latest and pepper is spicy, this place is a walk on the wild side. read more
