Delicious! Perfectly situated on the way to the gorgeous beaches near La Pelosa and Asinara island…read more This is a happening place, word is out so as you enter grab a number and be ready to point and gesture saying "questo" ("this one") if you don't speak Italian. Locals tell me lots of their goodies are typical of the region, but my approach was to point at the things that looked most different from any baked good I had ever tried. My favorite was a small stuffed pastry that had ricotta and nuts ("noci") inside. Also the flat cookies that look like they have ginger/molasses are delicious. The big star shaped pastry called formagelle has ricotta and lemon and is good, but I liked the others even better. A worthy stop on your way to or from the beach!

This place was recommended to me by someone from here, and here were her suggestions of things to order: Formaggelle di Osilo Salsiccia di Osilo Formaggio di Osilo Tericche di Osilo Formaggio di Ploaghe You can also just point and say "questo, per favore" ("this one, please"). We tried the salsiccia, the formaggelle, the tericche, some bread, some cheese that was in season, and the chocolate chip biscuit all for 6 euros. My favorites were the salsiccia (sausage), in season cheese, the ricotta cheese star-shaped baked good, and the bread. People who work here are very nice and were very patient with my poor Italian, my indecisiveness, and my poor estimation of kilos/euros when having them measure out cheese and sausage. They had good recommendations as well. Lots of locals in the morning - a good sign!

The ice cream was creamy, refreshing, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant. On a hot summer day, it was the perfect place for a short break and a sweet treat while enjoying views of the beautiful town. There was even outdoor seating, including an old couch where visitors could relax, and the portion size was fair for the price.
