I chose a bag and was happy paying full price, only to find out that most of the store was on sale (nice surprise) and thus ended up spending 100 euro less than anticipated. The sales associates weren't overly friendly, as I may be used to in America, but they weren't rude either, so they're alright in my book. I have by no means checked out all of Milano's leather shops so I can't say how this compares but I can say I left happy.

Well, guess what, thanks to some ingenious italian fashionista/designers, here comes a revolutionary bag concept: completely personalize your own bag. How do you come about doing so? You take your bag structure (€38 regardless the size, color) made of EVA (Ethylene-Vinile Acetate), choose the type of handles you best like (leather, pleather, plastic, linen...), you can also choose the lining you want (all sturdy) among endless options: solid colors, floral option, with or without a zipper. Or, you can skip it all together. You can basically jave endless options on how to, literally, build your own brand! And, how (may you ask) about those of us who aren't lucky to have one of these mythical stores nearby? Fear no more, you can order online and have it delivered to your doorsteps... Everything is just lovely and it's easy to tell that it is all very well crafted and detailed, they take pride in their work. Speaking with shop owner I asked him if he made the bags and he said yes and showed me the workshop. Not only does he make all the hand bags, but the workshop is right behind the shop, so cute. I don't see that at home in NYC. He was very friendly, very helpful and a pleasure to meet. I only wish I bought more.

Seldomly seen such unprofessionalism!…read more The store is nicely done, as expected and the staff is generally "nice" . Yet the following points disappointed me repeatedly: - Multiple times I called to find out about availability of a jacket in my size. Twice availability was confirmed together with the promise of the staff to reserve the jacket for me. When I got to the store nobody could find the respective jacket, or staff said it must have been sold already to someone else. - Once I exchanged an article I had bought in a wrong size. After I had picked out an alternative the staff could no longer find my gift certificate/voucher in their system claiming it had already been used by me, which was simply wrong and didn't feel me valued or trusted as a customer. No one wanted to own the situation and nobody offered remedy - very very disappointing and anything but customer-friendly. - I was given wrong information regarding a model of a jacket. The shop assistant claiming the model I asked for wouldn't exist in the colour I asked for - again simply wrong as it was available online. In addition to the points above there were smaller things such as shop assistant's advice for a jacket in a certain size "as it was the perfect size and fit for me". Two weeks later the same person claimed that a size smaller "would be the only right choice and right size for me" in both instances the respective other size was not in stock, i.e. could not be tried on. This together with the above let me seriously doubt professionalism of the store and its staff - what a pity! I cannot recommend this store, which is a pity as the Barbour products are widely known to be of good quality! I would try somewhere!

Julian Kaye: "That's right." - The American Gigolo I've always been an Armani man. It goes back to High School days when I would peruse the pages of GQ for the latest on Richard Gere and Tyrese. To me, Armani was the most testosterone driven look for high fashion. Lately, I've been less picky as my hips get bigger lol. I'm actually more a t-shirt and jeans kind of guy nowadays. Incognito part of my wardrobe. Yet on the rare occasion I like to dress up, and yes, I do clean up rather well :P I was never the biggest fan of Versace as I considered most designs were just over the top and who wants to look like Derek Zoolander or Hansel, right? Having said that I'm a big fan of a deal and when I came across a Versace polo shirt in Black on Black. The sale price was like 75% off retail and who cares if it was so last season. Black will never be out of style, so yes, I picked up my first Versace and I admit I felt a jolt of Julian Kaye! The moral of the story? You don't need Haute Couture to look good, or feel good. It's about you. Personally I like to mix and match, and throw my feelings to the wind. And like I said earlier I'm a t-shirt and jeans guy, but damn that Versace sure feels good. Just once in awhile I like to En Vogue down the sidewalk.. be it in Kaka'ako or in Milan.. Ciao;)
