There is a huge variety of meats and cheeses available and a good selection of wine. It's more of a shop where customers can pick up items to take home, including something for dinner as fresh lasagna is made daily. There are approximately six tables outside and a couple of tables inside. The first night, we asked her to prepare a meat board and a cheese board as well as some olives. We ordered a bottle of Chianti Classico. Everything was presented beautifully and so delicious. We had five different types of meats: mortadella, prosciutto, veal, salumi, and roast beef. We also had a selection of five cheeses and I can't recall the names of all of them but they were all mouth watering. We had a selection of three types of olives. On our second night, we tried three different meats and cheeses, two types of olives, and their freshly made lasagna. Again, we were so happy with the food and the wine, a Valpolicello Ripasso Superior. Her service was excellent and the place was sparkling clean inside and out. We took two bottles of wine, a jar of artichoke hearts, and a jar of capers from her shop. What a delightful place. The two gentlemen behind the counter were friendly and informative and allowed us to try several items before we decided what to include on our meat and cheese boards. A true foodie experience in Verona!

I inserted the 50 euro for a 1/2 liter and the perfect goodness came pouring out. I extracted the bottle and we drank it right then and there. Oh, the happiness! This is when I knew Italy would truly become home for the next few years. Of course I had to purchase another bottle to take back to our room. There's really nothing like the pure goodness of raw milk! Now I'm on a mission to find other machines like this one in and around our soon to be new home!

For as little as €1 a litre, you too can take home your own fresh raw milk. Not quite ready to take the plunge? Try a 1/2 liter teaser-taste for €0,50 but be prepared should you realize how easy it is to get that goodness in you. There is a plastic or glass bottle vending machine just next to it. We bring our own bottles, so I don't remember how much an empty bottle is - I think €1 for plastic and €2 for glass. The only reason why this has four stars and not five is because you have to bring change for the milk machine (bottle machine takes paper euro also), which sometimes causes a frantic search through the pockets and car seats.
