The waitress forgot our food, never checked back with us after we ordered. It stinks like urine when you walk through the front door. The waitress forgot some of our food. Mixed a drink incorrectly and spilled it down another's back. She came back asking for feedback, raising her voice I started to tell her and she said, "you're the only one that feels that way". The bar tender and all the staff are very nice clean and orderly place . Lots of TVs for your sporting events . They have a pool table in the back and it's very spacious , great for large groups .This place has a huge patio too , if you prefer the outdoor dining . Food is just average too me . Frank's has really went downhill. They used to have a pretty good burger but now it's like a frozen Bubba Burger that you can buy at Meijer for $4/dozen. Actually, the Bubba Burger would have been better. I ate two bites and couldn't stomach anymore. And, of course, the bartender didn't even notice. Speaking of bartenders who don't notice, I have literally walked out 5-6 times after sitting at the bar for 15 minutes with zero service. On the bright side, there are lots of TVs. On the downside, if you sit at the bar, you can't see any of them without turning around or craning your neck. And the two larger ones have a projector from 1996 that is washed out and grainy. I ask the waitress if they gave veterans discount. she said no discounts. many places around Lansing do show there respect to veterans by offering a small discount. not franks press box. There was absolutely no social distancing occurring in this location at all. Every bar stool at the bar had a person at it without a mask on. The staff were wearing masks but not all had them on properly or using proper sanitary usage. The bartender did wear hers and was very nice. The cook didn't have a mask on at all. The bar was dirty and was not being cleaned in between customers. Beer bottles sit in melted ice water in coolers behind the bar. The food was ok, but very greasy. My table of 5 got there at 9:00 pm Saturday after the U of M spring game. Buddy had said he'd been there before and a great place to eat, said we'd all snack on the huge nachos before our main meal. The establishment had very few people eating but a lot of loud very intoxicated patrons. The waitress, whose pants were so tight if she farted she'd would have blew her shoe off, got our drinks and returned them to the table. She brings 4 menus and never brought the 5th. After 20 plus minutes she takes our order. The nachos, embarrassing in size, comes to the table about 30 minutes later. The order the table placed was very simple and relatively fast to cook consisted of three hamburgers, chicken tenders and a Reuben. The order came another 40 minutes later minus one hamburger. The Reuben did not have any thousand island sauce on it and it took over 10 minutes for, my pants are so tight it's cut off my oxygen to my brain, to come to our table only to say I don't think we have any. 10 minutes later she brings some sauce in a little container. The hamburger the 5th person at the table was waiting for, after everyone was done eating, CAME in a to go container 30 minutes later. Simply unreal and unimaginable! I think what bothers me more than anything is she did not care one bit, I mean not one bit. Her tip, loser jeans girl you are not remotely close to being an 8th of all that! I would not go again. Awful smell when walking in, actually watched a man light a cigarette inside and my biggest complaint is we arrived at 6:20 pm. Our food order was not taken until 7:30pm. Many came because they wanted the wing happy hour deal however we were told they could not have it even though we had been seated, with drink orders taken for over an hour. If that wasn't bad enough we were told you can not split wing flavors (if I order 25 wings all must be the same flavor)). This was mind blowing as everyplace I have ever went at least let's you pick 2 flavors. When the food came out after forever it was good. I did not like the Turkey Pretzel sandwich however I think that was my preference and nothing they did. The fries were amazing. I gave 2 stars because while incredibly unorganized the ladies who handled our large party were very nice and doing their best since we had a party of about 20 adults and 15 kids. The problem with "seat yourself" is that the servers just don't notice you or even acknowledge your presence. How long does one need to sit at a table before anyone graces us with their presence? I could not be more disappointed with their service. We had a large group loyal customers who have visited often, and have been served. After we were served drinks, they were taken away because our VALID ID's were vertical and that could not be accepted. Our drinks were taken and the manager had nothing valid to explain why this was happening. They lost a couple of loyal customers today and think the staff was not good with handling the situation, especially since the waitress knew we would be mad and didn't put our order in for 15 minutes and admitted to us. A little over 15 min min to get a server, as I was preparing to leave, server shows up - subsequently ordered a beer and pizza right away. Server delivered my beer fairly quick. As I had a powerful thirst, pounded my beer quickly. Server didn't show up again until delivering the pizza which was scorched. Servers shows up holding a plate and silverware, asks whether I really need Parmesan or pepper flakes. I ask for parm and another beer. Nearly another 10 min get the parm; 5 min after, finally get my beer. Scorched pizza has cooled. Ate a slice, server shows back up - I ask for my tab. Finish the lousy slice and she shows up with my tab. Eat another slice - haven't eaten since 11 but can't stand the pizza so I'm done. The pizza sucks. Server shows up to take payment, asks if I want to take it home and basically bolts when I say "no". An hour and twenty minutes for a poor 12" pie and two beers - didn't eat 1/2 the pizza or bother to finish my second beer. Considered walking out on multiple occasions but didn't want to stick it to the server since not entirely her fault. Moreover, no one around to complain to who might've given a damn. Bottom line, in Lansing there's (1) better sports bars, (2) better service, and (3) better pizza. Don't bother with Frank's, keep steppin' on. read more

Worse Bar In Lansing! Not only does the place smell bad the wait staff is incredibly rude. Stayed away for months and decided to give Franks another chance. Was promptly told my Keno ticket was last priority and the Bar Tender would get to it if she could. There's about ten people in the bar and the wait staff is sitting around talking. Customer service I think not. Common sense is not common at Franks!!!! If I were to manage this bar I'd begin by firing the owner and then fire the entire staff. read more

We thought it would be nice to try something in the area that wasn't a chain restaurant to get a good feel for the place and support the local businesses. When we walked in it was mostly empty (and eerily quiet) but there were a few men wearing business suits there having working lunches. We thought we had chosen a nice quiet spot to have a quick bite to eat, but I left feeling absolutely underwhelmed. The menu is incredibly varied and the prices are totally affordable, but the food itself was only so-so...I'd call it sub-par, at best. To be honest I probably would have enjoyed my lunch better if I had just gotten a salad at a drive-thru restaurant. The staff was friendly, but unbearably SLOOOOOOW. There was probably more staff in the restaurant than patrons, at the time, and it took forever to get our food...forever to get our checks (even though we had asked)...and forever to get our credit cards back once we had paid. As I stated before, we were on a lunch break from a training session and we had limited time (we were given an hour, so we didn't think it would be difficult to get in and out quickly, but apparently speedy service is not something they do here). We ended up being late getting back because lunch had taken over an hour and a half! This is all considering we all knew what we wanted to order and placed our orders right away...well, right when she got around to coming to our table to get our order. It is dark, outdated and definitely divey. I imagine this is probably a decent dive-bar type place to come get cheap drinks and watch a game, but I definitely was not at all impressed. I have been in here several times. This time we stopped in for a quick lunch. I have to say this was one of the best lunches I have had in quite some time. I started off with the baked potato soup. It was very good. It had good sized chunks of potato and bacon. I then had the capicolla sandwhich. It was spicy ham and provolone on swirt rye bread. All of the flavors worked well together. The food was hot and ready when we sat down, tables set up, and pitchers of pop and water already in place. With over 10 hungry kids timing is everything. The pizza quality was better than expected, its tough to please everyone when ordering pizza but I heard nor have any complaints. Once again I was overcharged for the daily special. On Thursday the 9" pizza is on special for $3.99. I was charged $5.99 and of course did not notice until I got home. This is about the 7th time this has happened in the last 2 years. I logged a formal complaint with the better business bureau but they did nothing but ask the manager to respond. The manager gave the same response as when I complained to him directly. He basically said if this is happening, why do you keep coming back here. He doesn't believe that his restaurant has a problem. I usually catch the mistake and have the waitress correct it. Too bad the BBB doesn't take their job of protecting consumers seriously.
