This is NOT one of those mind-blowing huge parks that offer space to host a 500 person yoga event or a great viewing point of the 4th of July fireworks....
What it is is actually a tiny portion of the Selmon Greenway (which is a 1.7 mile shaded walking path mostly beneath the Salmon Expressway)... As odd as it sounds, the park is actually in the middle of East Brorein Street (bordered to the north and south by the east and westbound traffic lanes); but it does have plenty of trees and shrubs on each side of the very wide walking path.
Other than the park benches, this park is really for passing through... to get from some of the riverfront hotels to the Convention Center and/or the Amalie Arena... you can't run around or play ball but it is nice looking.
There are some benches to sit and ponder or a potentially good spot to eat lunch while getting out of the office; Most of the time the benches were open but as the evening came, some of the benches were taken by homeless. read more
