After a visit at the new dentist, myself and my daughters decided to go back to Dr. Hackman. What a difference. Dr. Hackman's staff are not only professional but gentle. Office might not be very fancy but his staff do an excellent job, and are gentle. Dr. Hackman is very personable, gentle and honest. You really should not have to select a dentist based on honestly, however that is the world we live in today. Former dentist had a dental plan for myself and my daughters which was fabricated and three times more expensive than other dentists. Dr. Hackman's rates are extremely reasonable and honest. Dr. Hackman is one of the better dental offices in the Valley. Location is in Corbin right near the big target in that plaza. It is next to subway and a postal office store. They are opened from 9 am- 6pm on M-F however on Thursday its open until 7 pm! What I really like is how flexible the hours are. Dr. Hackman is also open on Saturday but times vary. I do recommend an appointment because he is very busy (hence he has a lot of customers who trust him). What I also want to mention is he really works with you if you are tight on budget. Keep in mind he is a family doctor and not a corporation. I have been to a lot of dentist for cleanings and root canals, but when it comes to genuine opinion and thorough work Dr. Hackman is a great option in the valley. Its tough to find affordable and great doctors in the valley, but he is one of the few you can find. Lastly, I come here to get a cleanup often because I do not want to get another root canal or cavity. I love it here because of time flexibility and he's always willing to layout different options for crowns and such. Ofcourse doctor knows best but if you prefer a certain metal over the other he will honor that but he always tells you what he recommends. That is my dentist 101 with Dr. Hackman. I had an urgent need for a Dentist and after my 5th call trying to find one their office offered to see me immediately. Little did I know I had found the best Dentist I've ever encountered in my lifetime. Not only did they take care of my issue within an hour, they did it in such a caring and gentle way I didn't even feel any pain at all through the whole procedure. I have been taking my 3 young boys here for a few years now. Great experience each time. Dr Hackman makes the kids feel comfortable during cleaning and fillings. He tells funny stories and jokes to distract the kids. Kuddos to him! He is professional and knows his dental stuff. Just got off the phone with the front desk at Dr.Hackmans office who never fail to remind me of when I am due for my check up. With such a busy life it's awesome to take something off my plate. I've been going to Dr.Hackman since I was a kid, and choose to come as an adult because i know good service when I see it. I've referred so many of my coworkers and always get kudos for the recommendation. The staff will always make you feel taken care of and Dr. Hackman leads them well. just an update, had an oral surgery emergency to do, my FIRST mistake was NOT to call Dr Hackman. Fortunately having been a salesman most of my life I was able to detect a FRAUD, THIEF, LYAR, with fairly good instincts. Sure enough, won't mention his name (YET) but I ran into a TOP !) THEIF of a dental oral surgeon (a clue is the $200 not keeping the appointment fee). Anyway went right back to where I SHOULD HAVE GONE, to Dr. Hackmans office and sure enough got a proper referral vo an honest oral surgeon, and got X Rays updated at the visit with Dr. Hackman. I took my 17 years old son for cleaning and fixing some cavities. Tried a few dentists before with no success as my son is literally "terrorized" by dentists. Dr. Hackman and his staff, not only have been successful in giving Luca a complete teeth cleaning, but Dr. Hackman himself, was extremely patient and able in keeping my son on the chair and in two visits was able to fix the cavities my son had. What? I have no idea how this place got so many good stars. Hell, there's a lady at work who suggested the place. She SWORE by it... But when my wife got cavities filled and we didn't notice they used the cheaper filling until we got home, we felt violated. Every place we've ever been to has asked if we want the lead fillings or the somewhat more expensive porcelain fillings. My one friend from China was shocked when I told him the story; "They don't even use those metal fillings in China!" Even after redoing the filling, the next time we went back to our usual dentist (we thought we would switch because we moved), he said that the filling was poorly done and would likely fall out soon. I don't even know where to begin..... Let's start on a good note. He has and amazing staff. Very patient and friendly. Even Dr. Hackman is very nice. But as far as the work goes. It couldn't be any worse. I've been trying to fix the hack job Dr. Hackman left behind. He attempted to put in a bridge that was so horrible, even dentist from Mexico were questioning it. So horrible that his dentist friend (who he referred me to) Dr. Goren said it was bad. The bridge eventually fell out and all Dr Hackman could say is that he gave me what I asked for. Not sure what that even means. Since I was clearly consulting a professional. He should have told me what could and couldn't be done. Regardless of the piece or time it would take. Now I have 3 exposed teeth. One of which I had a root canal (per Dr. Hackman suggestion) now that tooth has to come out Along with the other 2 he took to anchor the bridge on. In the end all I can say, is STAY AWAY from Hackman if your are look for any major work. Find a dentist that has picture of previous work. DO NOT TRUST Dr. Hackman. All he wants is your money. He's jut looking out for himself and not his patients. I have literally spent thousand getting my teeth fixed after going to him for 6years. 6 years!!! I thought I could trust him. Before I start off my father makes dental crowns, and our cousin is a dentist. So within this field I have a decent knowledge. I have to say Dr. Hackman is not only a great dentist but actually cares about how you are doing. He has a lot of patients because of his great work, and even though he has a lot of patients he still takes quality time and quality work to take care of your dental needs.
