Woodlands at Home Dog Daycare & Boarding

My 12 week old puppy attends this day care and is superbly looked after and adores the owner! I…read moreresearched and went by recommendation when looking for appropriate day care for my puppy. I have met the owner and observed her interaction and reaction of my puppy to her and been most impressed with her knowledge and care given. This place came highly recommended from other dog owners. I have no concerns about sending him here and he is a proving to be a confident ,well adjusted dog with good manners and shows no signs of anxiety or distress associated with the owner or the care provided. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to other dog owners in the future.

Animal Inn
If you value your pets life then do not book it into this place. Booked my dog PRINCE (a black…read moreLabradoodle) into the Animal INN for a week in August 2016. On our return we found out from our sister in law that Prince had been taken to the vet the Animal Inn uses in Dover as he had been taken very ill. She had been called by the Animal Inn to collect him to take him to our own vets in Minster, quite a harrowing experience for her as he was totally unresponsive. After my worried parents picked him up from the Minster vet they told me how wobbly he had been on his legs for days afterwards. When we returned and visited our own vets in Minster to ask what the problem had been, we realised how close he had come to dying. Two nurses who had been looking after him dropped what they were doing and came into the consulting room to shower him with hugs and told us how worried they had been that he wasn't going to make it as he was incredibly poorly. They had actually put him on not one but two drips to get fluids into him. I pushed the vet for a diagnosis and he said it was severe dehydration. To sum. things up. The Animal Inn had two things to do with him in August, give him water and keep him cool. I don't think that's an unreasonable request. They failed on even this most basic task. A couple of things I am not happy with them for allowing. 1/ Prince almost dying because of their neglect. 2/ my sister in law having to drive from Sandwich to pick him up in Dover as they had no space for him, close to death to then drive him to our vets in Minster. Surely the Amimal Inn should have done this or maybe they were too ashamed. They did pay all of the vets bills and gave us a veiled apology. I don't like giving local businesses bad reviews but when something this serious happens I feel that people should be warned.
