They did great work before, and I was very satisfied then, but this time I didn't choose them. I read some recent negative reviews online, and their salesman didn't always get back to me in a timely manner about my quotes and answering my questions. I also asked if his company could repair a gate that needed to be rehung. He told me "No, my company doesn't do repairs. We replace." Well, that was not an answer I wanted to hear. So, I then went and got my second estimate, which was from Design Fencing. Their original quote for my project from Design Fencing was several hundreds of dollars higher, but Michael, their salesman, worked with me on lowering the price to my satisfaction. Michael also told me that his company would be willing to rehang the gate that I wanted to be fixed. Michael was very persistent asking if I had questions or concerns. He sent me frequent updates and texts asking if I had made my decision in choosing a fencing company. He didn't pressure me, but he was persistent in his communication, which greatly impressed me. He sent me a link to check out his company's positive reviews, and he also discussed with me his company's warranty policy. I decided to hire Design Fencing. I gave Michael a deposit of $540.00 to order supplies, and the balance was due after the job's completion. Michael told me that the fence would be put up three to six weeks later, which was fine with me. I paid by check since a credit card payment would incur a charge. The fence was put up within that time frame that we discussed. Joe, a middleman, worked with me on connecting with Anthony, his foreman. Today, Anthony arrived with two or three workers a little after 9 AM, and they were done with the project about 12:10. I was told it would take about three hours, and it did. Before they began, Anthony and I went over what was to be done and to make sure we were both on the same page. He then asked for access to an outdoor electrical outlet and to water to mix cement. The job was completed quickly and efficiently. Anthony and his crew cleaned up and took away an old gate that had been up before that was replaced with a new gate. Anthony was friendly and professional. His workers were also polite and pleasant. Even though Design Fencing's quote was still higher than my first estimate from my previously used company, I decided to go with Design Fencing for their great reviews, warranty, and their great communication with me. I figured the extra money spent was worth it. So, assuming my fence will be sturdy and last for years to come, I greatly recommend Design Fencing!

Our journey started with Trex Fencing because we wanted an environment-friendly alternative to the hardwood fencing most of our neighbors had. We fell in love with Trex because in our small backyard alone there are 100,000 fewer plastic bags in the ocean potentially choking turtles. We love the look of the alternating depths of the slats so we don't feel like we are sitting inside a box. And the no maintenance aspect is a dream for us. It will likely outlive us without us ever having to sand or paint! Tyler was wonderful at answering all my questions, including "Who can we get in New York City to install it?" Enter Olympic Fence. I loved them from the first phone call with Vicky. She was so efficient at getting the information they needed. She didn't know the answer to a question I asked and said "I'll call you back". Within a half hour, she did! (Unexpectedly prompt service in NYC!) Olympic's estimator, Carl, was on time, efficient, pleasant and witty. Their proposal was more reasonable in turn-around time, price and estimated time to completion than the two other quotes I got. The workers showed up when they said they would, they worked around all our backyard furniture, and they finished in a miraculous 1 day! (The other quotes were 2-4 WEEKS!) They did make a mistake that caused my neighbor some concern, but they came back two days later to fix it (they would have been back the very next day except it poured rain all day). That's what I call excellent service: do what you say you are going to do, do it on time, do it well, and if the inevitable mistake occurs, take responsibility and fix it ASAP. cry-baby and dishonest concrete contractor! got a high quote…read more$2300 from asad to replace two flags (squares) of a sidewalk in rockaway beach; insurance company requested the repair so just wanted to get it done asap. asad showed up a couple hours later than promised with his brand new red truck and 2 "assistants" from the home depot parking lot. using a little hand grinder (4") to cut the squares was the first hint that this job was not going to be done professionally! (i hired bricktech because a couple of weeks previously they had done a clean, quality job for my neighbor.) i asked asad to please use a larger grinder to properly cut the slab. i return from getting a coffee and asad's 2 "assistants" are packing the broken concrete of the original 5" slab into the flags that are about to be hand mixed and poured; i tell asad that the new slab he is installing can not be 2" thick and he should replace the original 5" slab with a 5" slab especially since it is a corner with a bus stop. asad suddenly says he can't do the job if i am not happy! i had zelled him $1150 (%50) as he started the job; as per our agreement. i ask asad why he is doing such a crappy, dishonest job for me when he recently did a nice job, up the block, for my neighbor. asad starts to cry and tells his 2 "assistants" to stop work and get back into the fancy new truck. wow! wow! i never met a cry-baby concrete contractor!! asad obviously embarrassed to tell his dad about his unprofessionalism has not reimbursed any part of the money. i really think asad is a spoiled child who just wants to drive an expensive new red truck but he does not know how to do his job. he is unprofessional and incompetent; i recommend working exclusively with his father or any other contractor. asad left me with a large 2 flag hole to fill at 3pm! luckily i was able to get a yard of premix delivered (whithin 1hr) and knew two guys who could help otherwise it would have been stressful! reimburse me what you owe. asad you are a dishonest person who needs to grow up!
