Quick is credited with being the first European hamburger chain. It was founded in Belgium. It is very similar to McDonalds. This makes sense as the founders modeled Quick after the American fast-food industry of the late 60's and early 70's.
My Quick Giant burger was essentially a copy of a Big Mac. However, I found it to be less flavorful. The sauce was bland. French fries (yes, the French call them French Fries) are not salted. The customer is encouraged to apply salt to their liking.
The drive through line at this location was extremely slow. However, my wait in line was a good time to tell witty jokes about a place called Quick being so slow. The French were impressed.
Quick is part of the French culture just like McDonalds is to American culture. A trip to France would not be complete without a visit to Quick. Besides, there are no Burger Kings in France. read more
