I would not use her mediation services. She is a bully and tried this tactic in coming to a resolution by cutting a 4 hour session into a one hour session. Unless you want to crapped on, and waste your money and time I would not recommend her even to my worst enemy. I can understand as a mediator one tries to resolve disagreement and get the two parties to come to a solution but her personality is intimidating and rude.The mediation was useless. I have been with other mediators and this is the first bad experience I have ever had. I would appreciate it if you would not sugarcoat the whole situation. You are very demanding and were bullying me by blocking me into a situation. You were using my numbers when the other party did not have numbers nor information nor were they asked for it. As a team together of you and the attorney, both of you were trying to pressure me into a situation that shouldn't have been happening nonetheless the unprofessionalism and the language. You and the attorney did not understand what we had agreed on therefore the other party misunderstood and walked out. read more

Fran Brochstein is an absolute miracle worker!! My daughter is being sued for divorce by her husband and he filed for divorce some 300 miles away. We were very concerned as my daughter had not had time to retain an attorney and would be pro se against a seasoned attorney. I called as we are searching for an attorney or mediator to represent us in Houston. She spoke to me for a few minutes but was a bit dismissive, almost rude. I'm in Austin so it's tough for us to just drive around to interview each attorney that looks interesting. My boyfriend is at work all day so tough for him to call. He's the person who needs to actually hire the attorney. Her words were many lawyers don't speak to girlfriends because they are just temporary fixtures in the judges eyes. While that may be true it definitely felt like that was also her position as well. I'm in a long term committed relationship with him where we own a home together. She drew a conclusion that we only care about altering medical expenses when what we care about is retaining his current visitation status with the kids. She ended the call pretty quickly letting me know she had a repair person calling her.
