Fran called me from Houston and spoke to me on the phone extensively. She did provide me with some sound advise and a referral. Next time I am in Houston I look forward to meeting with her under better circumstances. read more

I would not use her mediation services. She is a bully and tried this tactic in coming to a resolution by cutting a 4 hour session into a one hour session. Unless you want to crapped on, and waste your money and time I would not recommend her even to my worst enemy. I can understand as a mediator one tries to resolve disagreement and get the two parties to come to a solution but her personality is intimidating and rude. The mediation was useless. I have been with other mediators and this is the first bad experience I have ever had. I would appreciate it if you would not sugarcoat the whole situation. You are very demanding and were bullying me by blocking me into a situation. You were using my numbers when the other party did not have numbers nor information nor were they asked for it. As a team together of you and the attorney, both of you were trying to pressure me into a situation that shouldn't have been happening nonetheless the unprofessionalism and the language. You and the attorney did not understand what we had agreed on therefore the other party misunderstood and walked out. read more

Responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful. In the age of all attorneys being "business guys," it is refreshing to interact with someone like Fran, who is clearly more client-oriented. Thank you Fran! read more

I called her for legal advice and she was extremely helpful. She spent way more time explaining things to me than anyone else I spoke with had and in terms I could understand. I really enjoyed speaking with her and highly recommend her to anyone seeking legal or mediation services. read more

I reached out to Fran based on her positive reviews on Yelp regarding a legal case involving my parents. I was nervous having never contacted a lawyer before. Despite my situation not being her area of expertise, she took her time giving me advice and sharing her own personal experience. She recommended a reputable lawyer for me to contact and asked for nothing in return. She was kind, understanding and genuinely invested. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of an attorney; she absolutely went above and beyond the expectations of her job. read more

I have known Fran for a year or so. We are both members of several on-line attorney forums as well as an on-line legal Q&A forum for the public. Fran is a knowledgeable, dedicated, hard-working attorney and mediator. I highly recommend her legal services. She excels at traditional legal solutions- but she also helps clients and other attorneys 'think outside the box' in finding non-traditional solutions to problems, such as mediated settlements. Five stars for Fran- she is a credit to the legal community. read more

Fran reached out to me on a legal site for advice after I had lost my representation in a case that was still brewing. She was warm, insightful, and full of information on how I should proceed, and very professional in her manner. I would definitely recommend Fran for mediation, and/or attorney services! She truly does care about the people, in a world where our attorneys have mostly become numb to the feelings of their clients. Thank you, Fran, for your support during such a difficult time! read more

Fran Brochstein is an absolute miracle worker!! My daughter is being sued for divorce by her husband and he filed for divorce some 300 miles away. We were very concerned as my daughter had not had time to retain an attorney and would be pro se against a seasoned attorney. Thanks to Ms. Brochstein, her expert knowledge and advice the case will now be heard in my daughter's county! Ms. Brochstein was easy to contact via her cell phone and responded to me (someone she had never met) very promptly. She listened very closely to the issues at hand and spent quite a long time on the phone with me. She is very knowledgeable and the issues that she raised were absolutely accurate thus the judge granted the motion/order that my daughter presented. If I were to rate Ms. Brochstein she would score a 10 out of 10 in every category. In my book, she is a life saver!!!! Thank you Ms. Brochstein, we will never forget you! read more

Fran is very knowledgeable and went above and beyond for me. I'm in the process of hiring a new attorney and Fran was able to direct me in the right path. Although she couldn't represent me because she no longer practices, she was able to refer a few attorneys that could help with my case. We spoke for a very long time and she truly made me feel at ease. I will definitely refer her if someone is looking for a mediator. Thanks again! read more

I called as we are searching for an attorney or mediator to represent us in Houston. She spoke to me for a few minutes but was a bit dismissive, almost rude. I'm in Austin so it's tough for us to just drive around to interview each attorney that looks interesting. My boyfriend is at work all day so tough for him to call. He's the person who needs to actually hire the attorney. Her words were many lawyers don't speak to girlfriends because they are just temporary fixtures in the judges eyes. While that may be true it definitely felt like that was also her position as well. I'm in a long term committed relationship with him where we own a home together. She drew a conclusion that we only care about altering medical expenses when what we care about is retaining his current visitation status with the kids. She ended the call pretty quickly letting me know she had a repair person calling her. Maybe caught her on a bad day but she was quick to judge, a bit dismissive especially if you are the girlfriend... read more
