I am in town for a couple months for work and despite the reviews I went and checked them out. I walked in and instantly got worked on. Mary did my nails, she took off my acrylics and put powder dip on my real nails like I normally have. She took her time to make sure they looked good. She painted my toes as well and matched the color perfectly for me. I have been to many nail salons around different states and very seldom do they carry on a conversation the whole time and she did. We had wonderful conversations about where she came from, our lives and it was a great experience. Cons (not many): they need more color selection & prices should be adjusted just a tad (personal opinion) I paid $45 for my powdered dip and $12 for just regular polish on my toes -- all Salons are different BUT this is the most I have ever paid for powder dip however I did not mind paying that because she did soak my acrylics off and didn't rip them off my nail like most have done. My experience was so disappointing. Paid $100 for a pedicure and aryclic french tips. After seeing the terrible nail polish skill (the edges were sloppy and there was paint left on my skin), I switched to aryclics instead of a manicure like I had hoped. She rushed through the entire process. Two nails are glued on crooked. You can see brush strokes on the nail, she didnt carry the paint over the front of the nail, nails were filed unevenly and left thicker on one side than the other. Its Hays, KS so I wasnt expecting much. But $100 ($95 w/o tip) for shitty work was hard to experience. read more

Mary did a great job on my nails. I appreciated the special care she gave to my heels during my pedicure. I also had a manicure and she didn't hurry even though someone was waiting on her. The only thing I would say is that the place needed a good dusting. read more

Very unfriendly, did not do a good job, and then I brought my own polishes to use and an older female employee took my top coat from my hand and asked if it was gel. Insinuating that I was trying to get a gel pedicure instead of the regular one I paid for. I left without having them polish and had to fix my toes at home. read more

I called this salon and they did not say anything about payment types. I stopped in to get nails done on my way to Denver and after she had glued my nails on she told me they only take cash. These guys suck. I called to get a gift certificate or something arranged for my mom's birthday that was born in Hays and moved back 25 years ago. She's been going there for ten years. Worst nails ever I went in today with my friend we got our toes done at the same time and got done at the same time they took her to get her nails done and told me to sit and wait to get my nails done and I was ok with that but they didn't get to me till a hour and a half later and it was not busy, I showed the Lady what I wanted and she said she could do it and I said ok she started to do it and it was horrible from the start I told her I didn't like it then she retarted my design I asked my friend if she liked it and the lady was mad I asked for my friends opinion she said it's ur nails and her opinion don't matter and she was being very rude because I told her I didn't like my nails so she took all my designs off and gave me plain French tips what I did not ask for and she made me pay for the designs when I didn't even get any.. we got at the nail shop at 5:00 didnt leave till 8:15 please don't go there they are very rude and don't know what they are doing!! we had to leave by 8:00 because we are traveling and we told her that but she had to keep redoing my nails because she clearly didnt know what she was doing don't go here!! Driving between Denver and KC and stopped in Hays to stretch my legs at the mall. I decided to get a manicure and pedicure and it was great. Amy took care of me. She massaged my legs, feet, hands and arms which helped get me through the rest of my drive feeling refreshed and I thought their color selection was just fine. My only complaint is that because I wasn't planning on having a pedicure, I did not have sandals and although my polish seemed dry, after putting my socks and shoes back on, the polish on my big toes was ruined. Having some of those throw away sandals would be nice. Otherwise, a good place to stop. read more

I went in for a pedicure and everything about it was terrible. They told me it was going to be $29 on the phone and charged me more than that. They didn't scrub really anything and there is paint all over my toes, not to mention that half of my toe was not painted. I will never be going back here again. read more

Foxy Nail staff was rude and did a terrible job. We were a group of 4 and had made appointments ahead of time. I had shellac on my toes so I told them and she said, "just put your feet in". I decided I wasn't going to get a pedicure and had barely put my feet in the soak. I told her I had changed my mind and she said, "you are halfway done and you have to pay!" Literally, had just sat down and put my feet in the water. Which apparently costs $10 to do that. It was an unpleasant experience. My mother and I were supposed to have a nice girls day. The first thing the lady said to us when we walked in was "what do you want?" Like seriously? Horrible customer service. I picked out my colors for my manicure and when the lady cut my cuticles she made me bleed. I am a nailbiter. I finally grew out my nails and was so proud that I was getting them painted. But the lady filed my nails down so short they looked very ugly. When she painted my nails she went very fast and she was very careless. On some nails there are spots that are not painted. On one finger the pain started to chip off not even an hour after I got them done. And I got the gel paint too. On my pointer finger there's a spot that sticks Way up from the rest of my nail. I will never come back to this place ever again. Worst experience ever. I hate the way my nails look now. If I could get this zero stars I would 100% do so. If you want to have a nice day with your daughters DO NOT Come to this place. This ruined my entire day I am so disappointed. read more

They were short handed and the woman who did my manicure proceeded to use the same tools on my friend that she had used on me. Turn around and run. I completely agree with the review by Joanna C. This establishment is terrible. The staff was completely rude. We clearly stated we had a large group of people coming in that needed Pedi's and Mani's. They said the wait was not long. They were busy, and we understood that, however, what they called a pedicure was a polish change. I didn't get a foot rub, they didn't clean the dirt out of my nails, and the single coat of nail polish has already chipped. The woman, who appeared to be in charge, was beyond rude. At one point, the male associate asked my sister to get out of the chair she had been waiting in for over an hour for a polish change, and said, "Move over there and someone else will take care of you later." I paid for my lack of service, and walked out with my sister who decided to purchase a file and bottle of nail polish and do it herself. I should have done the same. Once outdoors, you could see how awful their work truly was. The paint was uneven, and my nails looked worse than when I went in. Do not go here looking for high skill set or quality work. Took my daughter here for a mom and daughter day. We wanted pedicures and they got us in right away. But, the customer service is awful, the pedicure lasted only 15 min and was horrible. Both my daughter and I were cut and they do an awful job of cutting and filing the nails. Even the polish is horrible. DO NOT GO HERE. Completely overpriced for their services. The people that work there were rude and not personable. They don't accept any form of card so prepare to have to pay the service charge on the ATM around the corner if you don't have cash on you. My friend lost her necklace when we went in there and when we went back to look for it, the people pointed it where it was left on the floor, didn't even bother to pick it up and keep it behind their desk or anything. They only accept cash or checks --- we had gel manicures -- and I've never paid so much -- $45.00 ----and very poor quality. Absolutely horrible service. I will never go back. Paid 26 dollars for a pedicure that was rushed. I lost my necklace at the salon, and I came back asking where it was and the guy pointed to the floor. They should have put it behind the desk or kept it in a drawer until I came back. If they knew it was there why didn't they pick it up? The employees are not personable and took the money right out of my hand with me barley having it ready.I will not be returning. This place is truly awful. I have been here a few times, usually in a pinch, with mediocre (at best!) results every time. My mom and I went in yesterday to get pedicures and manicures. I asked for a specific design, which I showed the nail tech, and she said no and did what she wanted instead on my toes. They also don't do pedicures...more like just a foot soak and polish change. I also showed her what I wanted on my fingernails... again, ignored and she did what she wanted. My nails are all different lengths, are bubbly, and look terrible. If you want your nails done right, you're better off going to the hair school. read more

Two friends and I had pedicures at Foxy Nails this morning. We had a terrific time and are really pleased with the results!!

It appears that this place has not made any improvements over the past couple years as "quantity" is still more important than "quality." They were running people thru that place like cattle!! They were more interested in people coming in and getting them to stay than they were in doing a decent job on those in the chairs. person doing my nails was so distracted most of the time, I had to remind him to put primer on both hands. The person doing my pedicure wasn't much better & have to say it was TERRIBLE....would think they would make an attempt to improve. Can't imagine anyone tipping them...I certainly didn't!!! read more
