This campground was surprisingly amazing! Got an end RV site with full hookups for 2 nights, $50 per night. Plenty of space, the grounds were well taken care of, and everything worked as it should at the site. The employees were friendly and down to earth, which made the whole experience worth every penny. Might be one of my new favorite places to RV! Also, they have a brand new bath house which was clean and well stocked. Couldn't ask for more. read more

Very family oriented. Lots of activities planned throughout the season. This is our second time staying and the staff has been very helpful. We had some truck issues and weren't able to leave when planned so they helped us extend our stay and even towed our trailer to our new spot for us. I believe all sites are FHU and have cable. Pads are gravel and pretty level for the most part. There is a pond on the lower portion of the park with fish and frogs and beautiful trees lining that area. As well as a huge field. Slightly up the hill is the General Store with last minute items you might have forgotten for example snacks, drinks or even RV items. Not to mention there is a playground area. Closer to the top of the hill is a set up bathrooms with about 6-8 toilet stalls and about 4-6 shower stalls. (coin operated, 25 cents) Water pressure is good and water does get hot. Across from there is a pool. And a little further up is another pond that you can fish in. Permits are sold in the store. Campfires are allowed and there are quite a few fire pits and picnic tables scattered around the park. We were here last year for fourth of july and they put on a great firework show. This is a big campground with a large group of long-term campers. There are a lot of shaded sites but most short-term campers seem to end up in a gravel lot that has large pull-through sites but no shade. Can you tell we're from Down South? Shade is important!! And so is green space. So don't be shy about asking, the owner is accommodating. Cons: after Labor Day the office is closed unless you call, the pool was also closed, and the main breaker for our row of sites (30 amp) kept blowing even though the row seemed to be filled with unoccupied campers & several empty sites. Pros: this is a large, well-maintained property with 2 ponds, a playground, nice pool with a small wading pool for little guys, an open-air game room, a small pavilion for their seasonal gatherings & activities, and a wildlife museum. The museum is more a large display of dead animals in the office but I think kids & guys probably would like it. WORKING WIFI!! Much advertised by campgrounds but rarely delivered, Fox Den delivers! They also provide several stations on cable. We would stay here again and thought it was a good deal for the Pittsburg area. read more

The tent lot wasn't bad; however, the bathrooms...just...don't go in them. They were terrible. I felt like I was in a prison of some type. There were centipedes all over the bottom of the showers!!! And a 25 cent charge to take a shower! Hmm...maybe it's just me, but I didn't think ANYWHERE used shower meters anymore. The whole place looked ran down. We also noticed how half the RVs there had built-on decks. It looked like people were there to stay. The office was old and creepy. Please don't stay here. read more

First time visitor. Great time. Crafts for kids, fireworks for the 4th, Sunday breakfast. I have an RV so didn't use the showers. The bathrooms near the pool were like a lot of campgrounds where they are somewhat dirty, but good enough for me. Pool was very clean with two water slides. The staff was nice and no issues. I had a site at the top with full hookups on a grass site. My site was pretty level, but there were other sites that weren't. This place has cable which is nice. The electrical outlets were a bit dated, but had no issues. Pond was pretty big with fish ($2 charge for adults). Overall nice place to go. Tip: it's a big campground, so if you have a golf cart bring it. read more

Wonderful camp ground! This park has a nice pool with slide. Pond for fishing plenty of fish. We did not use or look into shower house... so could not tell ya about those. Enjoyed the game room. read more

Come 2 -3 times a year. Friendly, nice spots. Every year more areas updated to 50amp, water, electric, WiFi, etc grounds upgraded. An older campground and love it here. They remember us, Welcoming. read more

This campground is fairly run down. The short term campers get spaces on a gravel lot which is very challenging to level your coach properly. Grassy areas adjoining the long term parking are not kept up and lots of weeds growing in. The kids playground area has outdated equipment and underneath everything is muddy puddles so it wasn't useable at all by the kids. All in all, this campground wasn't very impressive. However the only upside is that the management are very nice & friendly. read more

Nice campground, but was amazed that the grounds maintenance guy throws stones at the Canadian Geese to run them off. OK, I'm a retired National Park Ranger, so there's my background, but I was amazed to witness the rocks being thrown at a goose with an injured leg. When I questioned the grounds man he was aware the goose was injured, but told me they were mean and he did not want it around. That's a game changer for us, we won't support a business that provides a beautiful natural setting, but wants to chose what species get to be here. read more

Great campground friendly staff quiet and peaceful. Weekend are busy but very well organized and no disturbing of campers. Excellent place to stay. Beautiful pool also! read more
