I always bring oranges for her from Riverside national cemetary neighborhood orange shops ! She's very nice and sweet. I brought the staff pastries all the time and egg rolls etc Don't bring anything to eat if you're a stranger they won't accept them, you know why ! Ding Dong the witch is finally dead! OK, not dead, she finally let go at 95 and the store is under new owners. AKA old owners? Gone are the no tactical policies. Gone are the we can't have the scope displays. The staff is a mix of the Stockade team and the Fowler team. They have always treated me well, it was the old owner and her policies that I hated. They now have a selection of modern sporting rifles. And, they are planning on bringing in more scopes. They still have a solid selection of reloading supplies. Went to Turners first trying to order some 22 bulk ammo they had on sale online. Went in and they said they don't have any and the sale is over. I then asked for some 7.7 Jap ammo for a WW2 Japanese rifle and the Turners guy said "We don't have it and can't get it"-- I said "I even know where you can order it-- " he said "yeah they won't do that". So I went down the street to Fowler's and asked about the 7.7 ammo and immediately he said "Don't have it but I can order it" Left my name and number for a callback when it arrives. Then he took some time to answer some cleaning questions and suggested I switch to Breakfree CLP. He also let me know they have the Remington Bucket O Bullets if I wanted some plinking ammo. He pointed out some soft rifle cases on sale for as low as $19.99 My point is there is interaction here vs Turners I bought my 22 rifle at Turners- Took my test at Turners, did my DOJ at Turners- And I feel the staff could care less unless you are there to buy a gun. But here at Fowler's one guy starts answering your questions and stays with you until you leave. He doesn't start answering other salespeople and customers questions with you standing there waiting for help. Hope it helps ... read more

I've have been a Fowler gun room customer for about 8 years. I haven't purchased probably 10 guns from them. They have always a good selection of guns and accessories. I noticed some of the negative feed back from the "Covid" situation. Apparently a lot of these other people haven't spent time shopping around Becuase right now the lines are everywhere selection is low and prices are high. Through all of this I have been treated well through all of my experiences at Fowler gun room and have had dealings with lots of employees. I recently purchased a rifle from seam who set me up with joe to deal with optics , bipods and other accessories for a new precision rifle. Joe took the time to listen to my wants and offer me quality products as well as have everything mounted . When I took it to the range the scope was already on paper - minor adjustments need to zero. I have special ordered other products from them through Covid and had great experiences - everything came in faster then expected . I've been buying guns from Fowler for years, and for those who were familiar with Fowler before the pandemic it's hard to realize how far it's gone downhill since then. They strictly limit how many customers are allowed in, and there can be a 30 minute wait even if you know exactly what you want. Make sure they have a gun in stock before your order one. If not, they will take a deposit with no guarantee of when, or if, they can get it. Since they never answer their phones it's impossible to find out the status without a long wait in front. read more

So I came in to take the safety test and ended up walking out with a CZ P-01 for $609 (excluding other fees) (amazing) The steps if a first time handgun owner -Take the safety test course $25 -You may purchase a gun after completing the test (same day) however you must wait 10 days to officially pick up your firearm Extra fees for finger printing and registration of weapon (fairly cheap) - No need to pay full amount upfront , you can put up some money and pay the rest off within a time frame -Ask questions! Used to purchase there all the time then Covid hit and apparently the attitude of the folks there did as well. I stopped by today 21 September 2020 to purchase a Glock 30 and found the signs outside asking that masks be worn and to form a line. Ok , I had a mask on and was the only person in line. I noticed two persons inside and a person behind the desk that saw me outside yet did not let me in. I waited for about 5 or 6 minutes and just left. In this ever changing world of business and customer service, it's really good to see that there are still businesses that take helping a customer with all of their needs, with patience, and without rushing to get them out the door so that they can serve the next person in line. Even though I know it is frustrating having to wait in line for everything these days, Fowler makes the wait as bearable as they possibly can. They make sure there is a cooler of free bottled water, and make it a point every time they open the door, wether to let someone out or in, to inform the patiently waiting customers, how things are moving inside. They ask what customers are waiting for, in order to inform them if the item is in stock or not, thus giving the customers information they need to see if they need to remain in line or not. I have now been to the store 4 times, and have dealt directly with 3 different staff members, each of them extremely helpful with answering my questions, concerns, and giving recommendations honestly and without judgment. Each staff member I have dealt with has been extremely patient while helping teach me about each item I am interested in. Safety is a very high priority, taking the time to get to know the person they are helping in order for the customer to ultimately make the best choice not based on price just to make a sale, but on knowledge so that you know that you as a customer will feel safe and comfortable truly understanding what you have purchased, as making this kind of purchase is not to be taken lightly, but with the most amount of knowledge you can acquire, and everyone at Fowler will make sure you are making the correct choice. They are very clear as to the type of identification, and paperwork you will need for making your purchase, avoiding the hassle of having to go back and forth, or leave and come back. Although, if it is something as simple as retrieving something from your car, they won't make you wait in line again as many others do. I plan on taking my spouse and a couple of friends to the store so that they can take their FSC Exam, and will continue to bring my business to them as well as recommend that others go there as well. If I could give them 6 stars I would. But in the end as someone who takes pride in dealing with others on a respectful, efficient, and extremely knowledgeable basis. SUCKS!!! Went this weekend at 5:52PM (they close at 6PM) because I had a class the next day and my instructor told me to buy a new holster. Turners didn't have one for me at the time (I am left handed) and advised me to come here. As soon as I walked in I asked about the holsters and this old annoyed man told me they were closed and couldn't do it. I responded "I know exactly what I want and you still have like 6 minutes til closing time", the reply was "Nope. Sorry, already closed the register." I begged and stated that I needed this for my course but in true fashion, he stayed a complete dick. * Think about this, holsters are $30-$50 and I was going to buy 2! I already knew what I needed and in less than 10 minutes they would have made up to an extra $100. If you want to close at 5:50PM, post your closing time at 5:50PM idiots. Not a good establishment AT ALL. Turners on the other hand, totally tried to assist me for 15 minutes trying to find me the right holster and work with me. Go to places like that, this tiny shop doesn't know anything about customer service or satisfaction. read more

I am a regular customer of this store. I spent tens of thousands of dollars to buy guns in this store. Most of the sales in this store are very friendly, except for one person who is relatively indifferent. Probably because gun sales are so hot during covid-19, the prices of guns in their stores are getting more and more expensive, and even some good guns that are hard to find are ridiculously expensive. And there is simply no discount at all right now. Even so, I am still willing to spend a little more money to buy from them, if the price is not too exaggerated. Are prices higher? Yep, that's how that works when supplies are few and demand is high. I went in the other day to buy a coupe hundred round of 9mm and some extra mags. Where they busy? Yep. They stated to everyone who walked in that they were short staffed and would get to you ASAP. While I was waiting I checked out a few guns. Yes, they cost more than they did pre-COVID (take a guess as to why that is). All told, I was as in and out within 15-20 mins. The staff were all helpful and professional. read more

Not the cheapest or cheeriest gun store, most of the guys will bark at you like you're inconveniencing them. That's the vibe at most gun stores anyways but, stoked that these guys were able to correct a front sight on my G19 the other day. Most of their pistols and shotguns were overpriced, but I'm thankful that they are local for Tustin + Orange residents. Close to the freeway, and easily located off Tustin ave, Not everyone hates their job here because I over heard one of the guys passionately advising a new gun owner on home protection, pretty cool. I went in, in the midst of the COVID shut down of Orange County. They had the whole process dialed in. They were only letting a limited number of people in at the time. But once you were in you pretty much had a dedicated sales person the whole time. All the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I've been in a few times to look at a few different firearms and ask questions. I always tired to give the employees the benefit of the doubt when they were being rude. The last straw for me was dishonesty. The "men" in there don't conduct themselves with integrity. I was looking a a particular shotgun and the suggested I look at the competitor of that shotgun. Looked told them I was going to do some research I'd be back in a week. I came back and told them I wasn't interested in the one the suggested. Immediately they started to band mouth that fire arm and tell me it was junk. I called them out and they just laughed. I mentioned they were way more expensive than Turners up the street and they just started to bad mouth Turners. I walked out went to turners and purchased the rifle, shotgun and handgun i was going to get from Fowlers. All in all fowlers lost out on a $7000 dollar purchase and a new customer who is in the market for more firearms, ammo, and safes. read more
