"It's' cheaper than therapy"…read more A must see/do when visiting Bemidji! Staff was so welcoming and helpful when trying to figure out what to create. The actual owner was there and she walked me through the process-awesome lady named Sandy! SInce I was traveling, it was suggested to paint with acrylic so I could take it home with me right away. There are about 50 or more items to paint that were mostly hand molded right in the store! There were so many options for paint colors, sponges, paint brushes and tools to create my masterpiece. On the walls were a local artists paintings as well. This only enhanced the bright and colorful decor of the studio. Glazed and Amused is part of a Friday morning art crawl, which is why the local art was displayed. I love to support local businesses and artists even when traveling!

This time we picked up a Paul Bunyan bottle opener, some Bemidji Raspberry jelly, Walleye Poop (chocolate candies) and a sticker. Lots of other great items but I like quirky and they nail it. Unfortunately, our jelly got confiscated by TSA. I now know Jelly (a large amount) falls under prohibited liquids. Hopefully I can pick up more on our next visit and pack it in a checked bag. This store is right across the street from Paul Bunyan and Babe statues, great photo op, so end the day with a great souvenir from the Lumberjack Shack to remember your visit!!!

I personally would not recommend buying as one assumes it's outdated like everything in this store. At the entrance there is a car from the 1970's with flat tires. There are plenty of native American or do I say Indigenous people handicrafts. The new old stock is 1980 type of t shirts, magnets, alligator teeth, etc. I didn't buy anything. Nothing appealed to me. The red letters on outside on building need to be repainted badly. They sell Minnetonka Moccasin shoes but many looked outdated. There is 1 A frame building and a side room with more stuff. If you're looking for Quirky, this store fits the bill.
