More importantly, during this crazy time it was great to see all the staff wearing masks, making sure the place was spotless (it always is but they were putting in the extra effort), and adjusting to social distance protocols. All of the barbers here put in the time to make sure you get a great cut. Tight lines. Straight razor. Fantastic service. They make an ugly guy like me look good I'll be back in 2 weeks.

I come in looking like white- trash and leave looking like a movie star (or close to it).

When I asked if it was cheaper if I just got a touch up, like a trim on the side, whoever was on the other side of the phone laughed at me very rudely. Needless to say I will not be going there. First impression of the people that work there is rude. There are places that charge less if you just get touchups. Obviously they don't and they'll think you're stupid for asking.

But the dude deserves it so much, I gotta say something. Jenny is still here, running strong. Solid haircuts, great lady. A couple years ago, Curt started here. That's my guy. He is literally awesome. Nicest guy, and he's got serious skills. I've been going to him since he got there, and the man his literally never given a bad cut. He takes care of my beard too, which is awesome, because I butcher it if I try to do it at home. Cuts are $14. Very reasonable. I go out of my way to come here. That good of a place.

Blake Thomas is one of the barbers at Rathbone Barbershop. I had him cut my hair twice before…read more(after having arrived recently in Dublin). To make this short: Blake had called a day before a Monday appointment at 2:45, to change this to Tuesday, 2:45. My wife and I rearranged our schedules for Tuesday, 2:45. When we arrived, Blake was cutting hair on someone and told me he couldn't cut my hair, that he had assigned me to another barber - female. My wife and I have personal boundaries and religious beliefs concerning physical contact by the opposite sex. I calmly said "Not gonna happen", and my wife in the background quietly said the same thing. Blake became very perturbed and asked if 4:30 was ok. We both agreed, left and drove home to attend to matters we were going to complete after my cut at 2:45. We had to struggle through rush hour traffic to return to the barbershop. When we arrived at 4:35, the doors were closed, the lights were shut off and no one was there. I texted him on my frustration over the whole matter and said I would be a loyal and valuable customer - UNTIL he wrote back and verbally assaulted my wife. He said she was uncontrolled and that our beliefs on non-contact were silly. That, "just because the other barber was a woman, and that her cutting my hair would result in some sort of unprofessional or inappropriate interaction is incredibly insulting." His manner was very unprofessional. For a barber to verbally attack and demean my wife is not acceptable. Please be aware of his sexism, and over-exaggeration. His immaturity not only comes out in his actions and unprofessionalism, but his cuts are average anyway.
