I was gifted these tickets (not by Yelp) for work I do on social media but had such an incredible time I wanted to come and write a detailed review here because I had such an incredible time! This was my first experience with Founding Footsteps and I will definitely be doing other tours! This was their "Bad Things Happen in Philly" BYOB True Crime Trolley Tour! Tim the owner was our guide and he did a phenomenal job sharing true crime stories across the city, the tour took us all over and by many of the most loved sites in Philly, like the art museum, city hall, eastern state pen... the facts and stories he shared were fascinating and mixed with just the right amount of levity provided in the form of dad jokes. They had a musician on board as well (Remy Gold) who was playing songs that accompanied the tour perfectly, and the driver Nate gave us a fabulous and smooth ride all around the city! The trolley was also decked out in spooky decor which just added to the fun!so different compared to other local Halloween activities. Loved everything about this experience and cannot wait to check out some of their other experiences! Whether you are local or visiting Founding Footsteps is a must do activity!

Founding Footsteps BYOB Philly True Crime Trolley Tour was so much fun! Tim was absolutely hysterical and very engaging. I appreciated that he made sure to help us get organized seating wise rather than a free-for-all. We had a great group on our trolley and really enjoyed the stops we made. Special shoutout for the pit stop/ bathroom break halfway - where we could even grab snacks and more drinks if needed! Will absolutely do another trolley and highly recommend!

A pit stop at the whispering bench with a great view

My husband and I just did the Philly Crime tour and had a blast! The trolly was decked out in decorations and we loved being able to have BYOB. I was not expecting to be greeted by a singer/guitarist and it was such a vibe! Our tour guide was hilarious and the perfect level of adult humor. I'm looking forward to getting tickets to the holiday light tour!! Thanks for the great time!

I took this trip with my son and several other friends from California. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Tim makes history come to life his educational background really helps tell the story but his fun sense of humor also brings in the laughs. If you'd like a little taste of the tour look at the YouTube I made below. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Philadelphia. https://youtu.be/Lr_iCKYD5Kw

Did the walking tour with Greg ! It was awesome ! Learned so much and got a good idea of where to do more in depth visits :) helped us get a lay of the land and was funny funny funny as well - corny dad jokes and puns are my favorite !

My friends and I took a trip to Philadelphia and were on the look out for a tour. We ended up doing the BYOB tour and it was an amazing experience. Our tour guide was hilarious and full of really interesting information both on the history and current goings on in the city. We got a chance to stop at some locations and others we drove by to view. Would 100% do again and recommend to others.

We would not have had such an enjoyable and educational time walking around this part of this City without him leading the way. He shared with us that he is a retired University professor and Philadelphia native. He loves this city and it showed! We learned about the history of one of the oldest markets in the US (over 100 years old) and sampled some items along the way. We also saw street art and learned more about the history of the City, William Penn's plan for a "utopian" type society and the legendary "curse of William Penn." The Penn statue on top of City Hall used to be the highest point in Philadelphia until the 1980's when the mayor alllowed skyscrapers in. The legend goes that after that, all the Philly sports teams had a losing streak until a worker on one of the new tallest buildings added a mini statue of Penn to the top, then the teams started to win again. On our tour, we sampled... Sesame seed sprinkled fresh bread (with no preservatives) Italian cookie drizzled with chocolate. Aged Balsamic Vinegar, Fig Vinegar and Coconut flavored White Balsalmic Vinegar Special cheese (can't remember the name) coupled with spiced cashews Fresh (made today) Tortilla chips and fresh tomato salsa from a shop where the owners are from Central Mexico Mandarin orange from the produce stand Plus we got 10% off when we purchased additional items at the vendors we passed for being on the tour.

Had a wonderful time in this tour. I would recommend it! Our tour guide was exceptional.read more

Our host provided so much history in not only the background of the musical/artistry world but Philly as well. Facts, details and PEOPLE you never knew existed or was from the place of brotherly love! While he speaks you get to view a video of artist you grew up with and learned to love! So much information ANDDD he stops at places we wanted to visit while there too. The liberty bell, Rocky stairs and what should be historical areas around downtown! The Bus is equipped with top quality A/C, a bathroom, very clean and souvenirs are available for purchase. Bonus: there is a big surprise at the end. I won't give it away but trust me you don't want to miss out!

The air-conditioned bus with bathroom facilities, and an extremely knowledgeable and entertaining driver made this an amazing experience. "The Funky Man" as he told us to call him, gave us a history of Philadelphia's Blues, Soul, Jazz, Gospel, Pop, Rock, and Rap influences throughout the years. We had a couple of stops where we left the bus and were able to view Philly's walk of fame, the Rocky statue and the famous steps (which I opted out of racing up to the top). Along the way we saw many other non-musical sights as well (Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, etc.) Fun facts, an engaging driver, and video clips on the bus along the way made this the highlight of our trip to this wonderful city. (Of course, a visit to Pat's cheesesteak stand was great also, but that's another review.)

Our tour guides (Jess and Dominic I believe) were awesome and we'd definitely do this again. Tip definitely buy the individual tickets ! Not worth it to pay for the whole bike at $375. We all bought the individual for $31 each with 5 of us and we still had the bike to ourselves. Lucky break I guess.
