I would add 20 more stars to this review if I could! Before I met Noah I've had countless bad haircuts and kept trying other salons with hopes of better results to no avail. Bad haircut after bad haircut. My hair was dry, damaged, with numerous layers from different stylists. I was referred to Noah by a friend and can honestly say that I was instantly happier with my hair. The amount of care he took in tending to my hair combined with how well he listened to me in regards to what I wanted - I will honestly never go to another salon ever again. My daughter had her first haircut here when she was 7 and I wouldn't trust anyone else in the world to handle her beautiful locks! After nearly 2 years of going to Fosbre my hair is healthier than its ever been and has never looked so great! The atmosphere is very welcoming, I am always offered coffee or other beverages. I went to Fosbre and I loved every day of it. The owners and staff are extremely supportive and loving. They went above and beyond to help me through one of the hardest times in my life. They teach their students the importance of professionalism. (Which is why they have certain rules that will follow you in a everyday job) The staff not only are there at the beginning and end of each service but are available during the service if the students are needing help. Their no cell phone rule is part of them teaching so that the students will learn how to be professional and put the clients needs first. During the time I was a student I never once witnessed the staff using their phones on the floor how ever the staff is allowed to use their phones in other areas of the building. I did my research before starting the cosmetology program with Fosbre and noticed a major lack of professionalism and passion at the other schools I visited. I recently visited Fosbre Academy for a foil and haircut and would like to share that I had a great experience, I love my hair and have received many compliments and I would definitely have my hair done again by this salon. The salon is classy and professional yet lively, young and fun and I felt very comfortable there. The student that did my hair was professional, friendly and knowledgeable offering me advice and options as she listened to what I wanted. Great place for a great price!! This is a school, so you are getting students to cut your hair. You must be willing to trust and have patience. I went to Fosbre a couple days ago and I will for sure be going in the future. I went in with really long and boring hair that hadn't been touched in years, and came out with an amazing foil job done by Jody. The cut is about 2 inches shorter than I ever wanted, but I think that was a lack of communication done by both me and the stylists. The only reason I do not give 5 stars is because they did not have mirrors in the upstairs part that I spent over 5 hours in. That whole time I did not even get to see what was happening to my hair. I think this could have been a huge difference in how short my hair ended up being as I could have been able to see it before allowing them to cut. Other than that, I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

They use the best products and produce well-crafted styles. Often, you can get services for half the price you'd pay in any other salon. The environment is lively and fun, think Studio 54, but with sunshine. People are loving their work, and it shows in the styles the create. The owner checks the work of every student and ensures that clients love their hair, and you can take home styling tips if you pay attention while he instructs. The owners talk down to the students in front of other students, staff, and customers. They bully, humiliate the and berate students in front of clients & other students. The "clique" atmosphere is horrible for the students. It is a very toxic atmosphere. Education is so-so in my opinion. If safety is an issue..... lots of homeless people sleep right outside the doors. I didnt feel safe!!!! My daughter is an adult student who was a victim of this harrassment and will be transferring herself from the Fosbre program to another safe cosmetology program. In my review, I am referring to my experience as a guest in Fosbre salon. Other students and parents have contacted us and claim they will be teansferring out of Fosbre due to unsafe facility and the continued harrassmement from ownership. read more

I am so picky about my hair and who touches it, yes I am a hair snob! My mother went to Fosbre and highly recommended it. So on her advice and knowing that it was cheaper, I reluctantly made my appointment. AND that was over 2.5 years ago!! I still go every two to three months and will never go anywhere else!! Noah, the owner, is attentive to every student and is hands on with every customer. After my haircut/color Noah checks the work and also does adjustments on my hair and teaching at the same time. I love the price, cut/color/brow waxing all for $60! AND I get many compliments on my hair all the time.....plus when other beauticians give you compliments that is saying something!! I have been going to Fosbre Academy of Hair for two years. I go in every six weeks for a cut and color/foil. I love that all the students on the floor have not only been taught how to do hair but they have also been taught how to treat their client. They are always friendly, courteous and eager to do a great job for you. There is never a long wait to get in and the products that they use are really quality products. I always leave this salon feeling fully satisfied with my experience. I go to get my hair cut and foiled every 6 or 7 weeks. I have great results with the students and the instructors. When I moved to Olympia I had a hard time deciding where to go-I looked on line for the best local beauty school I could find because $$$ was important to me. I found Fosbre Academy of Hair Design. I have gone to Fosbres twice. The first time was to have my hair colored. Emma, my daughter's friend is a student there and she needed a guinea pig. I was a bit worried but Noah advised and guided her to choose the correct colors to fix my hair, which was overly blonde. She did a fantastic job. I have gotten so many compliments on how beautiful it looks. Noah is amazing too---just to watch him do a haircut is incredible! I went today to have a trim and shaping. Emma was not available so Hannah cut my hair. What a great haircut. I am just as happy the second time. I'm glad there is such a nice place in Olympia. I will be back!! read more

This is a place where everyone should go! I love the atmosphere, very relaxed and very clean. The students and front office staff are very pleasant and of course Noah is amazing, the owner and teacher! Noah is there at all times to watch, teach and observe his students as they are working with clients. Noah aproves every service so you are getting the best! I am a current student finishing up my last couple hours at the academy and have been here since last September. I have had a hard time staying motivated and have actually dropped for a couple months but Noah, the owner, has gone above and beyond out of his way multiple times to make sure I stick with it. Noah & Adam, the schools manager, work so hard to make sure all of us girls are getting the best eduction we can in a safe and clean environment. I am currently a student here and I honestly dont feel like I could ask for a better instructor than Noah to receive my education from! Before applying, I came in for a tour and as soon as I walked into the salon and knew instantly that this was where I wanted to go. I called in one day out of the blue- I needed a color and a cut. Noah's answered the phone and said they just opened up, and i would be the first customer. I cant express how much i have enjoyed this salon! That was 10 years ago! I can not allow myself to go to another salon! Noah is my favorite!!!!!! I attended fosbre last year for the Master aesthetics program and then the cosmetology program. My experience at fosbre was nothing but the best. They set me up for success, providing me with all of the tools to be successful in this industry.
