To be honest, it added to the authenticity of Zeitz and its history; it truly felt like we were locals! The drink menu was very large with plenty of options for anyone's preference. I had some refreshing white wine (they literally filled it to the brim and I LOVED it) while my mother ordered a hefty sized cocktail and father ordered his beloved Guinness. My father and I ordered the same pork dish with a deliciously homemade tomato sauce drizzled over fresh sautéed vegetables (I told the servers in German I had a gluten allergy and they confirmed without the bread, this dish was GF). We loved it and it was a great, comforting meal that didn't leave us feeling heavy afterwards. My mother ordered goulash and ate it so quickly. We paid our bill at the bar near the entrance and the older woman who was helping us throughout the evening was so so nice. If you are in Zeitz and are craving a spot where you want to feel like a local, this is your place.

Germany was playing Portugal in…read morethe world cup that night, I met the manager and he was delighted i came from Scotland where he has visited and worked. he was very friendly and looked after me all evening. the atmosphere was very good, the food excelent and the service could not have been better. the manager gave me a pub t-shirt as a fairwell gift when i left, I intend to send him a rangers shirt to compiment the football shirts already in his bar. I would reccomend this bar to anyone.

Good beer: Hacker Pschorr, Beck's, Murphy's and Newcastle Brown Ale on tap + cigars and whiskey. Pair this with cool music (also live) and your result is the Schorsch'l. Nice for late nights. Eisenach may be dead, but this places lives!
