This is an expansive fort that looks like a lot of work is under way to make even better. Once inside the walls it's a large fort with a few things to see, the church and maybe something else. You can walk around a path and there are signs that details the plants and animals that are in the area.
There is a circular maze exhibit and when you walk to the middle you can hear the surf crashing, through the maze you can see where people carved their name into the concrete. Unfortunately, with limited bathrooms it also smelled like urine.
Parking is limited close to the fort and there are spaces further away.
Great views and a taste of Portuguese history. read more
