I don't usually bother with reviews, and I never thought I would write one for a local news…read morestation. WANE TV has got to be the most half-hearted, lazy, and consistently vague outlet in journalism. All their articles sound the same: A crash happened. Investigation is ongoing. A shooting happened. Investigation is ongoing. WANE TV will provide updates at a later time.... But you NEVER hear about the stories again. How's the crash occur? Speed? Cell phone use? Road rage? Who was at fault? Should I be concerned going through that intersection? After the police get some facts, how about telling us WHY someone was shot near a park where kids play? Drugs? Gangs? Domestic? Or was it a random homicide, or mugging/robbery, and the public should be aware? Either get more info, or make good on your promise to follow up. Hire a couple "follow up" writers who just go back over older stories and keep up with them. Was somebody charged in the shooting? Is someone being held responsible for running a light and smashing a van with a few kids in it? It's not even worth reading these local articles anymore.
