When other Vet Clinics tell you to take your animal to NC State, understand this is his Alma Mater. The clinic has equipment to perform a lot of the same procedures like chemo for animals. All that I can say, in my experience ONLY,(so please don't blast me) is that you pay for what you get. Is the practice expensive? Well it's not cheap. However, Dr Dale has cured my cats when all hope was gone. He NEVER RAN unnecessarily tests. I can't THANK Him enough for all he has done. I called to make my pet's annual appointment and got in on the day I requested. Dr. Amanda Buerk was very attentive and gave my Chi a thorough examination. No, I don't know what should be included in a canine exam, but I can tell if someone is taking her time and actually mindful of the pet. I hate to say my Chi is sensitive, but okay, my Chi is sensitive. She doesn't do well travelling and or around a lot of strangers. All of the employees from receptionists, vet assistants to the doctor herself were very gentle to my sweet pup. I am glad I chose this clinic and will return.

The staff was extremely rude and condescending in the way they spoke to us. We were made to feel like an inconvenience simply for being there. To make matters worse, the front desk staff was also very unprofessional. When we asked for an itemized bill, the receptionist scoffed and read the charges aloud instead of printing it as requested. Overall, the experience was disappointing and uncomfortable. Based on how we were treated during this visit, I would not recommend taking your pets here.

But Dr. Seals told us his heart was perfect and that he only pulled his muscles. So we were sent home with gabapentin and a brand new prescription food for him that we were told was 100% refundable if he did not like it, he did not like it. But we never got that refund because we had opened it, which makes zero sense to me. How are we supposed to know if he liked it or not if we didn't open it? The next day we had to rushed to the emergency room with Simba, as he was struggling to breathe by that point, and they told me his heart was severely diseased. Simba should have been put down that day, but we were sent home and end up spending an additional $500 for his euthanasia and cremation care after spending nearly $500 after Dr. Seals told us he was fine. If you ever come to this location, only see Dr. Faircloth. We've only had amazing experiences with Dr. Faircloth with our two previous animals.

I've gone through this procedure many times in the past, but found myself with a bit of a disadvantage since we weren't established with a vet out here. My husband called many different vets in the area to find extremely high pricing for the surgery, more than I've ever paid before at a vet office or clinic. He then got ahold of this clinic in Sandhills! Very kind and willing to answer all our questions over the phone and available to perform the surgery the next day. My husband dropped him off the next morning at 7am and felt very comfortable leaving him in their hands after they explained the procedure, anesthesia, and medication prescribed for home. By 2pm we were on our way to pick up our puppy boy! We expected to bring home a lethargic, miserable puppy and were shocked to find him in such good spirits. His incision was barely noticeable and he never once cried from pain. We actually found it hard for him to follow the doctor's orders of staying still! I know all dogs depending on their breed, age, and personality respond differently to this surgery but we were pleasantly surprised by our experience. We're now ten days out and with his hair growing back in you don't even see a scar.
