I don't have a lot of experience with pawn shops beyond hocking my wedding silver at Jerry's a few years ago. That being said, I was impressed with the folks at Forsyth County Pawn. I was there on a business appointment, so I wasn't shopping (or selling anything!) so I got to have the opportunity to learn about their business and peruse with no pressure or ulterior motive! This shop specializes in guns. Big sellers in Forsyth County! They also, interestingly, have a well-stocked selection of electronics, from laptops to iPads. According to the owner, a very nice and funny lady, since the price of gold has been down they still buy pieces but mostly to melt down. The absolute best place to buy or trade a gun. Jason, Clay, and Lee are great people to deal with, they are knowledgeable and will give you the best deal. I went there last weekend to trade a P938 Sig, Jason gave me $100 more than the dingbat at the country store. Not to mention matched their price on the P365 I wanted. This is hands-down the best place to buy a gun in north Georgia in my opinion. I have purchased many firearms over the years and they have always treated me fairly at the store. Many firearm stores are lacking in customer service and some of their employees have the personality of a bag of rocks. That is not what you will find here as most of their employees are very courteous and helpful not to mention knowledgeable about what they are selling. I like dealing with Sharon if I'm there during the week and if there on Saturdays ask for Jason. Their prices on guns are the best overall I have ever seen. If you go there to sell a gun don't expect to get top dollar when they are selling guns at the best discount because it simply can't work that way. read more

Very disappointed new staff has no idea what they are talking about when it comes to firearms or accessories. I took a trijicon sight to them the idiot behind the counter stated they are discontinued and sold new at $600 in fact they are not discontinued and the msrp, from trijicon is 1500. The sight is a trijicon ta01 nsn Version no nsn stamp. This sight is standard issue to ussocom. Complete joke since new ownership. Be very skeptical when buying or selling. While working with the Sherrifs office I have bought numerous firearms at this location but no longer its a disgrace what has happened. I will never step foot into this store again. P.s the guy I spoke to is a video game firearm enthusiast he has no concept of real firearms. He straps a 1911 to his waist and thinks he knows guns. He has no idea, he's a keyboard expert.
