The place seems sketchy when you look at pictures online but it's actually not bad at all...but you always have to be alert no matter where you go. This area in Santa Teresa has shops, street art, restaurants and bars. There's a bar that's open during the day where you can sit, eat and drink while you wait for that perfect photo op when a tram is at the station with the backdrop of old buildings. There's a balcony where you can peacefully e joy the views of the city including Sugarloaf Mountain. It's a great place to take pictures.

I usually have black bean sauce to accompany my rice but they had Peruvian beans in their sauce and it was like crack. Mayocoba is the official name of the bean if you're curious. Definitely a recommended place to visit after you've seen the famous Brazilian steps nearby. It was hard to find this place though on Google maps. It's not too far from the gas station next to Bob's burgers. Enjoy!
