As soon as I saw the place I could instantly see why she was so excited.This place is a gorgeous majestic building. It's located right next to a very large park,Alameda Central and very close to the Zocalo. It's a very busy part of town-so be prepared for crowds outside of the building. Once inside it's a lot less crowded and this beautiful building is just as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside. One thing I did not know about this beautiful art museum is that it is also Mexico City's most famous performing arts center as well. My wife told me about a very famous Juan Gabriel concert that was held there in the 90s.Through the years most of the most famous artists in Mexico have performed at Bellas Artes. Today we are here for the art as this is Mexico City's most famous art museum and after walking thru all 4 floors of the museum,one can definitely see why. Diego Rivera's most famous murals are housed in this museum and they are truly breathtaking.I truly felt proud of my Mexican heritage upon seeing these amazing works of art. Jose Clemente Orozco and David Alfaro Siqueiros have many of their most famous pieces at this museum as well. Anyone looking for Frida Kahlo work though will be disappointed as her work is not permanently featured at this museum. Cost for admission to this museum is 95 Pesos Tuesday thru Saturday and free admission for everyone on Sundays.They are closed on Mondays. In closing,I 100% recommend all visitors to the amazing Mexico City's must make Palacio De Bellas Artes a must-visit destination.It is truly a gem of the city and one of the most memorable experiences the city has to offer.

The number of dancers, performers and musicians was impressive, and the show was about 1 hour and 45 minutes without an intermission. I loved the music, the costumes and performance - well worth both the time and money. I saw some people with small children there, but the show could be a bit long for them.

When you see an ad for something everywhere, you often think that this is a tourist trap and may…read morenot be worth it. But let me tell you something, this is one tourist trap that you MUST go to. This may or may not be one of my favorite things that we did in CDMX. I bought the tickets on Ticketmaster 2 weeks beforehand and we were able to sit in the first row on the third level for only $15. Here are some of my favorite parts of the act: - I love that there is not only an emphasis on dancers but also on Mexican music and song as well. - I loved the variety of dances that were performed. Each one was so different from the rest and reading about it later on, I learned that the original founder of the group placed an emphasis on displaying different regional Mexican dances. - The mariachi band was probably one of the best I have ever seen. Each musician was incredibly talented in not only their own instrument but also in their voices as well. The harpist especially played each notes so clearly and it was beautiful to listen to. - I love how coordinated the dancers were and the way that the utilize the stage was something that I really appreciate. They were able to do some many cool formations and move through the stage so gracefully. - I appreciate that there is no intermission and they go from start to finish as I think it could've lost a bit of stamina if there was a holding period. - The way that the engaged the audience was so fun as they even went to the audience and did a bit of social dance at the end. - I didn't know that Mexican culture also included this taiko like drumming instrument which I highly appreciated. I highly recommend coming as it is also performed in Palacio de Los Bellas Artes which is one of the must visit places in CDMX anyways. Next time I come I will definitely be spending more money to sit closer to the stage.

I came to Arena Coliseo as part of a lucha libre Airbnb experience with some friends, so I'm not…read more100% sure about ticket prices or where to buy them (maybe Ticketmaster?), but I can share my experience. Overall, it was positive. At the entrance, they check your bag if you're carrying a backpack. The only things not allowed are water bottles and cameras, but they have an area where you can leave them and pick them up after the show. We had balcony seats and arrived around 7:15 PM for a 7:30 PM show. We were able to get great seats with a clear view of all the action. There were bathrooms conveniently located right behind us. The women's bathroom had four stalls and they were pretty clean! They sell water (and other drinks) inside for 40 pesos. If you buy water, they open the bottle and pour it into a giant paper cup for you. You do have to pay with cash. if you want to avoid getting stuck in traffic after the show, consider leaving early in the final match. We left after round 1 of the final match and saw a lot of taxis waiting outside. Overall it was a fun show and I would highly recommend visiting as a part of your CDMX trip!

We got there right before they were starting the match but it was also during a huge downpour, so we were lucky enough to have unbrellas handy and to get in a short line. First off, no outside food or drinks (they sell plenty inside--popcorn, chips, Micheladas, beer, souvenirs, etc.). Second, men are patted down by men and women patted down by women. After the brief security check we went upstairs to find out seats. It was a busy Saturday night, so we ended up with seats in the nosebleed section (for approx $7.50 USD each). The seats were kinda hard since it was all concrete, but the enviroment was electric. First off, reminded me of WWE or UFC (back in the day) with the characters and the crowd booing and cheering on the fighters with their antics. I was impressed by the variety of characters--2 on 2 female match, 3 on 3 men's match, and 1 on 1 midget/little people wresting. It was all amazing! We also saw quite a few people with action figures, shirts, and masks. The arena wasn't super swanky, but it was more of an intimate feel. You may want to consider Uber or taxi getting over to this spot. And for the matches, they were each roughly 30 minute times. The time may have been 2-3 hours total, but we left early in order to beat the traffic. Definitely something to take in if you're in Mexico City and want to experience something different.
