He committed to call me on Tuesday when he got back into town, and he did. We talked through the issue, and I am confident that he takes care of his customer and that the job was done well. He took ownership of the problem and never once tried to place blame on me or make me feel like I was over reacting (even though I probably was). Review of the work? My drying time has been reduced by more than half with some loads. I am amazed at what a difference it has made. I will be calling well before another 13 years passes so that I don't get to that point again. (Original review): I called on Monday evening (1/6) to schedule a dryer vent cleaning. Rick scheduled me for 12:30 the following Friday. He asked if 12:00 would be ok. I told him I didn't get off work until 12:00. He said, "Ok, 12:30?" Perfect. Friday comes, and I got off at 12:05. I checked my phone to see that his crew had been calling me for 15 minutes because they were at my house for my 12:00 appointment. I called the guy and told him my appointment wasn't until 12:30, and he was all concerned about his next appointment in West Des Moines at 1:00 that will take him 25 minutes to get to. So, I told him I could be home in 5 minutes but that still wouldn't give him enough time if he had to leave by 12:35. For some reason, I agreed to do a whole vent cleaning (the whole house). I was on the fence about it because the house I bought is only four years old. Let me just say, BEST money ever spent!!! The furnace was absolutely filthy!!! The one technician said it's common for new homes to have their furnaces used with no filter whatsoever and based on the condition of my furnace, that's exactly what it looked like they did. I can't even imagine what would have happened if I didn't have the cleaning. I have never seen a filter so dirty in my entire life! How the furnace was even running should be considered a miracle!!! So all that to say, if you have a new build, you should really consider having your furnace checked. And at four years old, the vents here were atrocious. I am so so thankful I called this company. Seriously! The guys did a phenomenal job.

He was super nice and listened to what my concerns were before he gave me a couple quotes to decide just how much I wanted done and how much he was willing to do. We came up with a great plan for my needs and he got everything done in a very timely manner. Granted we had to wait for Mid American to do some of the work and the city inspector to make sure it was done correctly before we could move on. He made sure to keep me in the loop of where we stood and when he would be able to do more. The whole process went very smoothly and I could not be happier. Unless the job was free but we all know that was not happening. I would highly recommend Upfront for any electrical work you need done.
