I lived in Forest Meadows for 3 years. If you have a dog or cats DO NOT MOVE HERE. No fences allowed on your property. I lost 4 cats to coyotes. The homeowners association is a nightmare - right out of Stepford Wives. I had a neighbor stalking me on my property and screaming at me, calling me names because my dog barks. Well guess what residents of Forest Meadows - dogs bark. The maintenance staff put huge boulders in front of my driveway and made it impossible for me to back out. My life there was 3 years of hell. So glad to live amongst real people again. If you like the idea of living in an episode of the Twilight Zone, then by all means move there! In response to the lady from Shingle Springs, first there is no 40 Canterwood, I know I live on Canterwood, no 40, unless you live in the pool house. 2nd. there are not fences because we live in a MEADOW, we like open space and it is the CCR's, no fenses. She should have known. Finally we live in the mountains where we frequently see bears, deer, bobcats, mountain lions, foxes, coyotes, a neighbor thinks he saw a wolf, not sure, etc. Letting your animals outside to roam in this environment is irresponsible. And dogs are supposed to be on leash. It is a beautiful place with an Association that wants to keep it that way. And the new owners of the Forest Meadows golf course are planning an full service restaurant opening April 2nd along with a much improved golf course. read more
