The curriculum is both challenging and exciting and a year ahead of other schools. The teachers are engaging and nurturing. Over the years, I've been pleasantly surprised to see my children motivated and excited about their assignments. Learning is an adventure for them. At Sweetwater Episcopal Academy, each Wednesday morning, all the students of the school meet at the chapel for service and to discuss the events of the week. During the service, Sweetwater Episcopal Academy acknowledges students for their contributions to the community and kindness to their fellow classmates. Those Students come to the front of the chapel and the story of their kind actions is announced by the head of school, as fellow students cheer them on. It is very inspiring. Parents are welcome to participate in all chapel services. Sweetwater Episcopal Academy invites prospective parents to chapel service in a program called "Welcome Wednesdays." I encourage you to drop by at 8:30 on Wednesday and see for yourself.

They teach to each child's academic level and when students finish at Sweetwater, they are typically academic leaders in their new school. Sweetwater is a hidden gem, smaller then a lot of private schools yet on point from an academic standpoint.

First off I'll just go right out the gate and tell you I give willow school five stars. Why do you…read moresay? Because of willow school is a private school like no other and that is why I drive 40 miles each way every single day to take my son there. There are very few, if any other schools, like willow school in the Orlando area whatsoever. The market need for remedial education schools that focus Inc. Lee much so on scholastic information and as I said true remedial and or intervention. The marketplace however does not meet the need anywhere within the Orlando's area. Last year there were two campuses, one in Winter Springs the original location and an expansion location in Maitland on Maitland Boulevard. As of May 2015 no 2016 the Maitland campus was closed due to low attendance. Just being honest. The original Winter Springs location is still there and it all students transferred over that desire to stay with the school for the 2016 2017 school year. So OK, there you have a little bit of background information to better understand the dynamics of the school how when and where they tried to expand etc. let's take a moment to talk about what really matters and that's the school itself... My son has auditory processing disorder. What is it? Basically get a nutshell it's like every single sound in every single room is all the same volume. The clock ticking say volume. Someone talking exactly volume ticket. Quiet music in the background exactly volume is everything else. The moving of a chair or the clanking of dishes at a restaurant bar in the distant background all the same volume. Now, this is something we been working with since he was three years old and he has made tremendous progress, and let me know that the largest games in any sort of areas of personal and scholastic growth have happened at primarily while at willow school. The class sizes are small, I believe my son has between 67 students on average in his class. One thing that is absolutely stupendous about the school is that there is no standardize placement in grade level for reading and math. You are in your grade level at your place into the appropriate map and or reading class in order to ensure that you are performing the best at the levels would you are currently cable. This is why the school focuses on intervention of education for reading and writing and is not a specialty school for autism. They do not have a behavior list on South so aid are not equipped to handle students with autism nor is it their focus. There's nothing wrong with that whatsoever I believe that is actually much better for pure transparency and to let PEREZ know what you're searching and mostly for the right school for the child that this cool is not a possibility. They have a fairly structured and Spero application and shadowing process for a child maybe in rolled into the school. This is not an elitist Dave approach, but rather one that focuses on match in the child with the correct school. That is there golf match the child with the correct school if they're good match for willow school, then they will join the family. My sons reading progress over the course of last year expanded for groove by two grade level's within the first nine months at the school, you can just do it that's not incredible gain and remediation it is purest sense. The status amazing, it's a small school, but the staff is outstanding and I could ask for no more. Leslie I would like to address comments on after-school activities. With a student body under 100 is very difficult to find a one-size-fits-all afterschool activity Thomas boards, recreation, are, music or whatever have you been to the school is first through 12 grade fully accredited to graduate students By the state to Florida. It should be doing noted that will a student do 95% of their homework at school intentionally. Why you ask? Because the school acknowledgeable to the fact that the children need others drive long distances (like me) so they want the kids to be able to be involved near home. My son does Karate, golf and cub scouts in our hood with kids from our area.....that makes sense if you ask me. What's the bottom line? The schools amazing. It may not be for everyone, but is just what my son needed. Small classes. Intensive education. And non-traditional approaches to teaching reading and writing that are scientifically proven. If I could afford to send my other two kids it good to public-school to willow school simply because it will not only catch children up to grade level but they will also continue to have them excel past their grade level in preparation for college. It may not be for everyone like a said but is just right place for us. So if you're looking give them a call and administration Staff will take it from there. You will NOT be disappointed.
