I walked in owing a back tax of $9,100.00, from a year that I wasn't involved with the CPA office.. In her own time, off of the schedule, I received several calls and emails detailing every step of the tax year and previous tax debts. By the time it was all over with, not only was my $9,100.00 cleared and no longer owed, the IRS owed me roughly $1,000.00 !!!!!! Lets see HR Block do something like that!! I can't say enough good things. Every year is good but this year was an epic display of professionalism and true hard work.. Yevon is a total rock star. I can only imagine the rest of the office is as efficient and hard working.

Last year's taxes were a bit complicated due to the sale of a house, but Jimmy outlined the process very clearly, including sharing a list of required documents. Jimmy was extremely informative, flexible, and took the time to answer my many questions. Highly recommend!

But Lisa showed commitment to address issues and to work with me to address all concerns. *** Original Comment *** These guys are just hungry for money. I have been doing taxes with them from 2013 to 2017. For 2017 I had given all the documents well in advance. Even then my taxes were returned on the last day. I stayed up all night going through them and found a lot of errors. Even then I payed them all the money they asked for no bargaining ever. After that I got 2 letters from IRS. I contacted these guys to get help as they had done the taxes. They said they are reviewing one notice and they will be a fee to file the reply with IRS. I said I will file the reply just tell me the computation of 2017 tax addition (Just a number) They waited till the last moment and then I get a mail saying they have filled a reply and I owe them $290. When replied back I did not hear anything back and then I get hit with a $243 Net 15 invoice and If I do not pay in 10 days 18% interest. I am really upset with these guys.

There was a dabbling for a few years w/online tools like Turbo Tax, but I got awfully tired of getting notices later in the year (always at the least convenient times) from the feds and the state with their CORRECTED versions of the forms, which always and invariably meant more moolah outta my pocket. I fancy myself a pretty generous soul, but I can think of many, better uses for said ducats, then turning the kitty mindlessly over to our government, which for many years now has displayed all the spending restraint of a drunken sailor at a brothel. \End rant. Overcharged and underdelivered. 2025 was our first (and…read morelast) year filing with PNW. We provided a well-organized packet of documents, which was commented on when we dropped them off. Then 3 days later was instructed to complete a very detailed filing questionnaire and instructions that our return would not be filed on time without if. We would have been fine with that if this was explained ahead of time instead of so close to 4/15. The filing review meeting was rushed and average. No tax strategies were explored for that year nor any tangible actions for the next year. Then we were given the bill which was over $2,000. Our 2024 filing was nearly a 3rd of that amount and experiences with our long-term preparer from 2006 - 2023 (who retired) was less a 1/4 for 2023. Both were professional tax advisors, and we had no major changes to our finances. We asked why it was so high and were given no plausible answer other than that is what they charge. I don't believe the Porsche's in their parking lot belong to clients. Lastly, very odd, the door to their office looked like we were entering an amateur workshop. We had concerns their premises were secure.
