So glad I found Amanda's photography service! I was a first-time mom looking for a local photographer in Vacaville to do a simple maternity shoot for us. Amanda was very responsive when I messaged her to inquire about services. She even set up a virtual zoom meeting to discuss location details, offered maternity dresses to wear the shoot, and set expectations for me as well. On day of shoot, she was punctual, professional, & easy to work with. I was also very happy she was able to book the #1 location I wanted, and it was only 10 minutes away from our home! The finalized photos came in about 2 weeks later, and she also mailed us a digital copy in a Cute little USB. When you come across the an amazing, sweet, patient person and photographer, you have to YELP about it. I came across Footsteps Photography on Yelp (thank you!) when trying to find a photographer to take my family fall photos this year. She was immediately responsive and worked around my schedule to meet. She showed me some of her work and asked me questions about my family and if I had ideas for themes. She showed me many locations that it was hard to narrow it down. We corresponded via email and text. Easy peasy. Photo day was cold (AM shoot) but well worth it. Amanda was patient with our 11 year old who could be quite a ham and a ball of energy. She took her time, took plenty of photos with various looks. She truly is a professional setting us up in poses and finding her "shot". She fulfilled her deadlines when it came to showing me the photos and delivering with product. Our photos came out wonderful. It was hard to narrow them down to be honest. I highly recommend Footsteps Photography for family photos (and newborn/maternity- check out her website). Amanda (Footsteps Photography) is an excellent photographer and extremely patient! My husband and I had the pleasure having Amanda shoot our daughter's cake smash session. My daughter was, a handful during our session (teething and failed to take her nap) prior to our appointment. Needless to say, our daughter wasn't in a cooperative mood. Amanda took a couple of shots, but then suggested that we return to her in a couple of hours after she's taken a nap. A couple hours later, we returned to her studio and our daughter somewhat did a little better. Either way, Amanda was very accommodating to our situation in order to capture our daughter's photos. I can't say enough good things about Anan and her photography skills! We used her services for our maternity and newborn photos and were so very happy with the results. Amanda was very professional but also very warm and friendly. Our whole family felt so comfortable with her. She was really great with our children too. One of which has special needs, one that is a very high energy toddler and our newborn with a birth injury. She handled every potential complication beautifully. Her experience really showed. Amanda had an incredible assortment of gowns to use for the maternity photos and every color, material and style of prop for the newborn photos. The finished product of our photos, birth announcements and keepsake box were above and beyond our expectations. They turned out fantastic! Her prices are so reasonable too. First off I could not be happier with my daughters 1st birthday photoshoot!! The pictures came out absolutely amazing! Now Amanda communicates via email and I had questions about her pricing, to get on the same page I gave her a call and everything was cleared out. She was very friendly and accommodating, I understood her terms/policy and agreed to it. On the day of the photoshoot Amanda was sweet and did her best to get our lo to smile, she's a tough one to crack though. Amanda put out popcorn as a part of the set up but made sure it was okay with us first and was very attentive to making sure our little girl would be fine if she got a hold of the popcorn. The only thing I wish she would accept is adding a single picture to the packet for x amount, as opposed to 5 pictures per x amount. I was sad to let go of a few pictures because we really couldn't afford spending so much more. But like i mentioned earlier I knew and understood her policy and chose to go with her services:) Overall I would definitely recommend Amanda's services to friends/family and I will be using her again for future events! Never have I felt so compelled to write a positive review with such urgency. I was so lucky to have stumbled upon this gem on a Google search for cake smash photos. Now this is a hidden gem/best-kept-secret I would like to expose because FootSteps Photography is all-deserving. From the moment I saw Amanda's work, I knew this photographer knew exactly what she was doing and that I would be in good hands. Sure enough, the entire experience and end product did not disappoint! From the moment of my inquiry, Amanda was very responsive to all emails and asked all the right questions to ensure the photoshoot would be everything I envisioned. I elected for an in-person consultation prior to the photoshoot and was very pleased and confident at the end of our meeting. When it came time to the photoshoot, I was in awe of the set. She completely nailed it! Amanda has the whole cake smash photoshoot down to a science. From arrival, outfit changes, the shoot, and clean-up, we were out of there in less than an hour. Amanda is dedicated to her job, I admire that. But her website doesn't work, her prices are outrageous, alot of photographs that we said we liked weren't in the final review, & the editing was lacking. My spouse and I were under the impression that photographs were only going to be around 100-200 hundred dollars, we ended up spending 800$ for 25 photos that were the quality of an amateur with practically minimal editing, most of the things Amanda said she would edit out she did not. Honestly if you care about getting the most & best for your money go to someone else. We had no clue about the extra amount the photographs were going to be at the time especially since her prices are password guarded on her website & the password she gave us never worked. read more
