Food Lion used to make the best carrot cakes. Last week my family wanted one of their carrot cakes and the ones in the bakery display the cream cheese frosting looked hard and the cake dried out the frosting was cracked and split all the way across. So, I grabbed one from the freezer thinking it would be better and it was far worse. The frosting was thick hard dried out tasted like plastic and the cake was so dried out when we cut into it, after it defrosted, it crumbled all apart. All of us had stomach issues that night after eating it. Two weeks prior to this I had to buy ground chuck for tacos and hamburgers. I noticed that the hamburger meat had two different sections. The outer section was pink and looked like it was just ground and the whole center of the hamburger was brownish and had a smell and sticky feel to it. That was both packages of ground chuck. I thought it would be fine until after eating that night me and my elderly mother were both up sick throughout the night. They had used up old hamburger and tried covering it with some fresh hamburger on the outside. Next time you shop pay attention to the regular prices of products and you will see during the Buy 1 Get 1 Free deals that the prices for 1 are almost doubled, if not doubled. Then you will see when those products are off of the sale they go back down in price. How do you consider that you are actually giving a second product free? You are not! You think people are too stupid to pay attention and keep track of product prices from week to week. read more
