The variety was fantastic -- from the California Chicken Wrap with Avocado and Turkey Club Sandwich with Bacon, to the Roast Beef, Goat Cheese, and Spinach Croissant. The salads and bowls were just as popular, especially the Green Goddess Salad with Grilled Chicken and the Southwest Bowl. We also had several guests with dietary restrictions, and Kate's made it effortless with thoughtful vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, including a Grilled Vegetable Wrap with Hummus and a Mediterranean Bowl that our vegetarian guests raved about. Every box also came beautifully finished with fresh fruit, a baked dessert, and all the right extras -- it really showed in the presentation. Logistically, everything was seamless. With 290 lunches needing to arrive precisely at noon in the middle of a packed wedding day, timing mattered enormously, and Katelyn and her team delivered exactly as promised, which took so much pressure off us as hosts. The day before the event, we were told setup/arrival would be at noon. When we called at 2pm to check in, we were told to stop worrying and that she would be there -- she did not arrive until 5pm, three hours late. We also only learned two days before the wedding that she planned to use the venue's kitchen for prep, which limited what our own family could prepare there for appetizers and other food. On the wedding day, she arrived about 1.5 hours after our wedding started, with no advance communication about the delay. Because of this, my family and friends had to heat, plate, and set up the food themselves. She came without the second staff member we had paid for, and we were never told in advance that this helper wouldn't be showing up. She also arrived without napkins, which were part of the agreed service. Food quality and quantity were far below what was contracted for 110 guests: only 2 of 3 pans of pasta arrived, and roughly 15 guests never received pasta, bread, or salad at all. Salad dressings were served straight from store bottles instead of properly presented. Several guests told us afterward there wasn't nearly enough chicken or lasagna to go around. We requested a partial refund for the staff helper we paid for but never received. Instead of addressing it, she became hostile over text, denied there were any service issues, and told us she would "have reviews deleted" and sue us for posting an honest account of our experience. When we described the actual problems with the service, she responded by accusing us of racism rather than addressing any of the specific issues raised. We paid in full for a service that was not delivered as promised, on one of the most important days of our lives, and were met with hostility and threats when we simply tried to explain what happened. We would not recommend this caterer for an event of any size.
