They also sell state fishing licenses and book fishing tours for a local charter boat company. This store is located across the street from the brackish lagoons and the golf course. Anyone fishing on Edisto Island will shop here sooner than later as this is the only bait and tackle store on the island. Nice folks working here and helping folks.

BEWARE: UNPROFESSIONAL…read more Our family booked with Edisto Watersports and tackle last week for a fishing charter. We planned our week around this experience and we expected to go on Monday. As we were leaving, we were notified that the captain was "sick," and that they had cancelled. Understandably, we called to reschedule because is was the only experience we were looking forward to on this vacation. Not only did we receive zero help, but no one called us back. Hours later, we called to reschedule. Someone rescheduled us with the same unreliable captain for the next day. As my family is boarding the boat and waiting, we are told that the captain is not coming. Not only did we waste 2 WHOLE days waiting and rearranging our schedules around this extremely unprofessional company, but my family was disappointed twice. As a company, they took our credit card information to charge for a no show, but their employees are unreliable and should be charged for their no show. I am so disappointed and infuriated by this lack of respect for our time. We will not be returning, and I hope you consider not booking with this negligent, incompetent, and unprofessional business.

Captain Crawford made sure we saw dolphins feeding and many beautiful natural and historic sites. A main highlight was seeing the Shell Circle left so many years ago by the native people of the area. It is tragic that it is all too rapidly falling into the water now. So it was an especially important sight. I would like to thank him for creating such a wonderful experience for us all. We had so much fun and learned a bit at the same time.

He took us to a close shipwreck a little over a mile off shore. We started fising immediately. There were plenty of poles and bail. Capt George helped with baiting hooks, showing us where to cast and removing fish from the hooks. His knowledge of the local fish was extraordinary. We kept many fish and our captain told us which were the best for eating. He put up with our inexperienced group member and help here with everything. When we returned to the dock, Capt George cleaned our fish and gave us suggestions for cooking our catch. I've been on other fishing excursions but this was the best by far. Call Capt George at Full Tilt for a great fishing trip. I can't wait to go again!

I think that due to the distance from Savannah, this pier does not get a lot of usage compared to others in the area. The pier side of the creek also contains a boat ramp about a one-half mile from the pier, with the pier situated at the end of the road. There are no public facilities or running water at the pier, with two portable restrooms the only structures located there. While fishing, there are great views of the Lazaretto Creek Bridge. Visible on the other side of the creek are several fishing and charter boats, jet skiers, kayakers and several restaurants. In between catching fish, activity from these businesses is more than enough to keep you occupied while enjoying the picturesque views. It is never too busy at the pier, with weekend traffic consisting of about ten people. Consider Lazaretto Fishing Pier if you desire a peaceful and scenic fishing experience.

WOW, what a great day…read more We did a half day fishing charter with Richard (which ended up being like 5.5 hours). Richard was a great captain. The boat was clean and well equipped. Richard took us out there where the fish were. He warned us in advance that the fishing had been a little slow, but much to our surprise we have a really great day with lots of fish. We caught about 15 sharks, 10 blue fish, a few trout and a black cod. Richard did a beautiful job of cleaning the fish and telling us how to best prepare it. I would highly recommend Richard and Tallboy Charters. I hope to be back there soon and will again be out with Richard fishing.
