Through my veterinarian in Andrews, TX, Loving Pets Crematory was chosen to cremate my sweet girl, Phoebe. I don't know why I hang on to gone forever ones like I do, but I always request their ashes. During the time that I had just lost Phoebe (October 2022), I failed to remember that I also wanted some of her fur and a paw print. I guess I was just so emotional that I wasn't thinking straight. Lo and behold, when I went to pick up a nice bag, there was not only a very nice wooden box with her name and years of livelihood engraved on a small plaque, but also a nice terra cotta clay molding of her paw and a small bag of clipped fur. A laminated copy of "The Rainbow Bridge" poem was also included along with their business card. She was the Calico Tabby mixed cat that chose us when we were only thinking about adopting a cat at Hobbs Animal Shelter back in 2010... she first climbed up my ex's leg to his chest, then as soon as he let her down she clawed her way up my pant leg and sat on my shoulder. Losing a pet is always hard and not knowing what to do afterward is even harder. I loved my baby so much & I felt that burying her would be not what I wanted for her. I know it's a normal thing, but to me it felt like it was me being disrespectful. I turned to Loving Pets Crematory. The owners were very nice, compassionate, and not too expensive for what I wanted. I left her with them, they cremated my baby and returned her remains to me within the week.
