This is where the administration went dark. We had already handed over our FULL years tuition with our application. After two weeks of no info on our refund status after countless emails and calls. I met with the principal. I realized he was adamant about keeping a HUGE portion of our families funds even though our toddler has never used the facilities and we were dropping 3 months before. As reasonable people we expected to lose a deposit. This was not the case. PAY ATTENTION TO THEIR POLICIES before even beginning enrollment. They will hold as steadfast to these as tightly as they will your families funds. No matter the circumstance as Mr. Humphries made this very clear during our meeting. I cannot speak on the learning environment or educational staff as we only had the most unfortunate situation of dealing with the principal and admissions staff. This is not a play based learning school, it is a merit based school and the kids will advance in grade and letter classes as they progress in their learning. Lake Castle isn't for everyone, so listen very clearly at orientation as to what kind of school you are putting your children in. This school does have a zero tolerance policy on being disrespectful to other children, faculty and staff. They also do not tolerate any sexually explicit talk or behavior from any students. I read some of the comments below it seems they maybe misunderstood this concept in the orientation. Mr. Butera is very clear about his expectations up front before anyone pays even so much as a registration fee.

The high school offers a strong college prep curriculum and their students have the college board test scores attesting to that. However, the strength of the school, from my perspective, is its sense of community. The staff really loves on your child. The emphasis here is on "Christian", therefore it certainly wouldn't be for everyone. Modern cultural norms of moral relativism and political correctness are not promoted. "Religion" is not taught, rather the Bible is. Even after 2,000 years Jesus remains most controversial, so of course a school who stands up for Him and espouses His teaching will have its share of critics. It's not a perfect school, how could it be, as there are no perfect people. There has been only one - and He allowed Himself to be mocked, ridiculed, and crucified because no greater love had anyone but Him. I want a school that reinforces what I teach my child at home; NCS does that.

Bonne Ecole Elementary School is a fantastic little school in my neighborhood. My six year old attends school here. The parental involvement is very high, which is crucial to the success of almost every aspect of the school and the student as well. The teachers here are all very caring and serious about their jobs. Our test scores are consistently high and way above state averages. The same receptionists have been here for at least 15 years and are so sweet and they love the children that attend the school like their own. Heck, even the custodians are friendly and always have a smile on their faces. I am so lucky that I get to send my child to this school. I really do love it. An interesting fact about the name...when the school was finished being built a contest was held where the students submitted a name for the school. A fourth grader won for his submission of Bonne Ecole which is translated from French for "good school".

This is a wonderful school, i had a great expirence, nice staff and kids. Would total recomend.read more
