Unfortunately this business has been sold several times and the new Vet has several locations and this one has visiting vets. The office manager is very unprofessional after my last disastrous visit in November 2024 and leaving a bad review on Google and saying I wouldn't trust them with my best Friend again It sent me my Dogs notes from exams with a derogatory comment on it very unprofessional with no comment of their failures . They took 4 legs and half an hour to put my poor dog down I cried wile the guy was screaming at us that it was ok and he didn't feel it but he was screaming and trying to get him away form my poor dog cola he bit the vet and the vet slapped my old dog he wined and he didn't go to sleep peacefully and we had such a hard time coping they would not give us his ashes I will miss you bud. read more

they are a business for profit, make sure you get a quote on paper before doing anything with your pets. Fohey Hospital decided to 3x my bill they quoted me over the phone for a simple required shot for my furry friend. integrity is everything. they charged me an extra $48 for a wellness exam that I was never told about saying its required through the state of MI. funny part is that the wellness exam was basically weighing them, NOTHING ELSE (FYI ITS NOT REQUIRED IN MI). basically charging you $48 bucks for nothing just squeezing more money from your pockets because they can. I would not recommend bringing your pets here, they lack professionalism. and the receptionist that works at the front desk does not care for you or your pets. She the type of lady to just throw your animal into a cage and let it starve. read more

I have been to Fohey Veterniary Hospital twice and both times my pets were treated by Dr. Dan. He is very gentle and caring in his interaction with your pet and also very knowledgeable and goes out of his way to explain things. He showed me an x-ray of my kitty and explained it in great detail to help me understand what was going on with him. If you want a thorough, caring and careful approach to your pet, you will find this in Dr. Dan. I was also able to get an appointment right away when I felt the situation was urgent. The staff is professional...but the best staff was the day when the regular staff was on holiday and Dr. Dan's family was the staff - they were the nicest of all : ) read more

The staff is very friendly and outgoing. They do not pressure you only make suggestions. I also loved it when they called a couple days later to check on our dog, just to see if he was doing ok. I highly recommend them, you can tell the people are in this business for the animals and not the money. read more

We really like Fohey Vet Hospital! Ignore the old reviews as there are new vets there, probably since 2016. Dr. Dan Deciechi is great & takes the time to explain everything. They are caring & treat your pet with kindness. They also accept Care Credit so you can make interest free payments if you cannot afford to pay total bill up front. We would definitely recommend this Veterinary clinic. read more

I have been going to Fohey's for 30 years. My parents took our dogs here, and now I take mine. Did use another vet clinic in East Lansing for a couple years. Found them to be more expensive, and got different opinions depending on which vet we saw. Very frustrating. Have found Fohey's to be very consistent, even with Dr. Hudgeons gone. Cannot say enough good things about them and the care they give my dog. read more

Your experience here depends on the doctor you get. Dr. Lonaker is friendly, engaging, informative, and caring. Dr. Hudgeons is a bit dismissive and lacking in empathy...he casually made my kid cry with a tossed off remark about how our cat could have cancer (he didn't) and there wouldn't be anything he could do. Front office staff is always kind, caring, and polite. No complaints, still going there. :) read more

I took our dog back to Fohey today after a two year hiatus because their prices had gotten out of what was in our price range & the staff then was not very understanding about it. Today I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was very nice, caring, & understood. Dr. Deciechi understood also & said we could get a small cyst removed while our dog was under anastasia for another procedure. I was so happy they would "kill to birds with one stone" so to speak, which is what we wanted over two years ago. AND their price for all is very responsible. Thank you Fohey Vet Hospital. read more

I will be reporting this case to the better business bureau. I called last week to get my Great Dane nuetered. They asked his weight and I said 150-160 lbs. (he ended up weighing only 131) They said the total cost would be $198 so I booked an appointment. When picked up the bill was $249.21. I was very upset to say the very least. They could not explain why the cost was so much more. They refused to honor the price they previously told me. If I was going to spend that much I would have used a vet closer to me but I was trying to save money. This extra $50 they charged just took groceries out of my children's mouths.
