I know I have been skeptical toward second hand shops lately, but this place is a treasure trove!!…read more The first floor is reserved for big stuff as furnitures on the front and more delicate items on the back. You are dreaming of owning one of those old fashioned vases that used to adorn your grandmother's living room? You'd probably find it here. Also looking for Christmas album CD anno 1995 featuring WHAM and the likes? You'd also probably find it here. The big hit for me is on the second floor. Up the stairs and to the left they have very comfy designed library-lookalike with rows and rows books for sale with price tags showing fractions of what the original prices were. Books sold here are extremely in good condition, unlike in several "Antikvariet" I have been to, but there are obviously newer books too. To put it shortly, if you're about to give someone a book as a present from here, they wouldn't know if it's second hand and it's good for the whole saving environment stuff isn't it? Less trees to fell for your books. Next to the book room, there's the children articles occupying the space. Clothing, toys, you name it. On the right side of the upper room there is the second hand clothing area. They all look in very good condition, I guess The Red Cross is very good at vetting these clothing. I did a browse to see if there's anything I like. Alas, I'm quite picky when it comes to clothing. But hey, it's worth checking out, and when you need to give (Christmas) presents, this place is maybe worth to look at.

We were ridiculously excited to shop at Tiger when we arrived in Copenhagen, and it did not disappoint. (I think Tiger was seriously the highlight of our time in Copenhagen.) Tiger is kind of a cross between a dollar store and IKEA. It is amazing. Prices are cheap, and the items aren't just cute, but functional too, as they have a variety of housewares. Due to luggage weight and size restrictions I couldn't buy a lot, but I did buy a few random bits and pieces. One of the items my sister and I bought were those pink luggage tags with the red heart (I'm sure everyone who's been in a Tiger store knows what I'm talking about). While waiting for our luggage at the airport we saw several suitcases sporting that tag, and figured that it must be a common item at some store. So when we saw them at Tiger, we each bought one, just for the sake of it. I wish there were a Tiger store in Vancouver!

Pros: - Cheap! - Notebooks are around 10-30DKK each - You can get your everyday stuff here: dishes, utensils, alarm clocks, etc... - Spices are sold in little packs Cons: - Material doesn't last long - I mean it's cheap so that makes up for it

So, listen, OSV is one of those places that has constantly rotation selection of items, so it is different every day. People come in and sell their stuff, and then you buy it. Some of the items are gently used, some are brand new with the tags still on. The majority are high-end local brands like Acne, Malene Birger, and Wood Wood. The place is pretty small, so they have a pretty limited selection, but it is all top quality. No digging! They have mostly clothing, but also some shoes, bags and accessories as well. Good news for men! They have a good mens section as well with Trigger, Han Kopenhagen, raw denim jeans, etc. This place is a gem. Dont miss it.

There are truly a lot of great bargains to be found here, and stumbling upon brands like Thom Browne, Junya Watanabe, ACNE and YSL at very fair prices would not come as a surprise. I can only give O-S-V my best recommendations, so make sure to find your way to the little shop whenever you need to satisfy your need for something new in your wardrobe!

However, just…read morebefore heading back to the station to return to Denmark, I had wanted to come back and see if they were open. I'm glad I did. I had wanted to find something unique, but local to take back as gifts. It's very rare to find hand made things anymore, so when I saw this store's specialty was hand painted clogs, I got excited. There's definitely nothing like this where I live. The clogs were all wooden with leather, and all hand painted. The owner was very friendly and I'm sure he was surprised to meet someone all the way from Hawaii in his shop. I found the perfect pair of clogs for my daughter, and these should last a long time. I saw a customer come in with a pair of clogs to repair. Evidently, the shop will fix up a pair you bought years ago. Cool! In addition to clogs, they also sold Dalahäst (Dalecarlian) horses, which come from the province of Dalarna, and are famous and a symbol of Sweden now. No two are alike, as they are all hand carved and painted. They were pricey, but I would pay for the quality and knowing I had a unique hand crafted product, instead of a cheap knock off mass produced in China. They made for great stories and gifts. This is another store in which I look forward to visiting again in the future. Who knows, maybe in a few years I may be able to bring my clogs in to be repaired.
