So war der Aufenthalt preiswert. Allerdings bekam ich gleich einen Meldezettel unter die Nase geschoben, der wohl nur dem einzigen Zweck diente, herauszufinden, ob die Kids wirklich unter 12 sind. Das war ein bisschen ätzend, aber verständlich.Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und praktisch eingerichtet. Es war ruhig. Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig und viele Speisen waren sehr lecker. Das Hotel ist gut zu erreichen. Parken ist kein Problem.Würde jederzeit wieder hier übernachten, wenn ich wieder in der Gegend bin.

Moderately priced, super clean and excellent, considerate service. I stayed with my elderly mother for 5 days - so comfort was important. We are from Hawaii and got a west facing room which was nice & warm. The accommodations were simple with a German austerity. While there were "no frills" to the room, we appreciated the tasty & fresh breakfast buffet which offered a wide selection of meats, cheese, breads, cereal, fruit, eggs & accompaniments at a modest price. There is a friendly bar area & good restaurant where we enjoyed beers and dinner. The only downside of Hotel Kuhn is the bathroom was small - and the shower tub may be a bit too small for a large person. There were also no handle bars or no-skid mat in the tub which may be desired by older travelers. The staff was helpful & accommodating for 2 American tourists with unexpected needs. Overall we are very pleased with our stay and would recommend Hotel Kuhn.

A hotel with its very own mall...or the other way round!…read more Location: The hotel is part of the "Forum", a huge mall that sells anything you might need...even its own hotel! It's smack in the city centre, next to the main train station. It's also in about 5 minutes walking distance to the riverside. Perfect! Hint: it might be a tad confusing at first, the hotel is located entirely in the 5th storey, only entrance and reception are down in the mall. Rooms: I can only talk about the business class rooms, but mine was roomy, with a nice design, modern, well-lit due to huge windows, the bathroom is clean and the bathtub (yup, there is an actual tub) is huuuuge! The fact that the hotel is situated in the city centre means that there's of course a lot of noise, you can hear the cars outside, but taking that into account, it's actually relatively quiet - you might hear people in the hallway, but no sounds from your next door neighbours - thank God!! The breakfast buffet was simply fantastic. There's a huge selection of everything your heart could desire, cereals, sweet pastries, bread, rolls, eggs & bacon, fresh fruit, even smoked salmon etc. There are several freshly pressed juices to choose from, and - this is my favourite part - in the corner, there is even a vintage suitcase filled with snacks and drinks for "on the road", that you can take with you, I love this idea!! The staff is very attentive, the lady at the breakfast buffet was constantly checking to make sure everything was fine, and you even had your very own coffee can. The receptionist was also really nice, helping us out when we needed to find something in town. On top of all this, there's a small "gym" and a sauna. The only thing that was a bit "negative": the beds are tiny....as in so tiny, even I almost fell out during the night - definitely not made for people who tend to move a lot during sleep...make sure you get a king sized bed in that case! And maybe I wouldn't exactly want to go here own my own, in the middle of the night, as a woman...but that has little to do with the hotel but with the city itself... Bottom line: * great location * great rooms... *...but make sure you don't fall out of bed * fantastic breakfast buffet... *...check out the suitcase in the corner! I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in town!
