Compared to the "Municipal Parking Fields # 1-3, the Flushing Parking Lot is a home run!
Build for the Flushing Mall next door, it is six levels of parking that is almost never full, and offers the opportunity to validate the ticket inside the mall at any shop, and walk out with two hours free parking. It is a little difficult to reach at its location at the corner of Roosevelt and College Point, but if you plan ahead and come from the rear of City Field on Roosevelt under the El, you can right turn into the building with ease. Getting out can be challenging at times, but at least that is after you have done what you came for.
From there, Flushing lays before you. You can walk to Main Street in under ten minutes, and find dozens of restaurants and bakeries in between.
Really hard to beat, unless you are one of those who prefer to take your chances finding legal street parking or enjoy the insanity of circling through the "Parking Fields," that seldom cough up an empty spot.
There are many underground garages if you like to pay a ransom and find a dinged car when you return, with no redress.
