I was taken to Mease Countryside Hospital because I was having heart attack symptoms and the…read moreambulance team said it was the closest hospital. I didn't want to go there because my husband had died due to lack of care there in January of this year. At the emergency room i asked if my cardiologist was a practicing physician there and they said yes! So I decided I would stay because they hadn't gotten my chest pain under control after multiple doses of nitroglycerin in the ambulance and the ER. The IV the EMT placed was blown in the ER when they started an IV drip of nitroglycerin. I then waited over an hour for someone who could use an ultrasound to find my vein for it. They then blew three more veins! The last one was blown #5 in the CT scan when they tried to do a saline practice flush prior to the contrast. I warned them to go slower than normal because my veins were fragile, but he didn't and my vein blew up to the size of a baseball! I screamed out in pain and said I couldn't allow them to do another IV! The nurse said if they didn't put in an IV, I couldn't be treated or tested further. So I should make up my mind to leave! So I signed out! I wanted to go to another hospital where my doctor was supposed to be working. After my ride arrived, I called my doctors office and they told me that my doctor had never worked at Countryside! So they had lied to me from the beginning! made a follow up appointment with my cardiologist and he said if the pain returned to go straight to Morton Plant hospital and call him and he would come right to the hospital! I'm furious because they pulled the same thing on my husband and he was dead five days later! There's no reason or excuse for them to lie and get away with it! By the way, any time I have put a complaint in to the Baycare system, they call it "unfounded" and dismiss it! Not this time! I could have lost my life because of their sloppy ineptitude! If you have any emergency, call your doctor and find out if they have rights to practice there! Otherwise, go wherever they direct you!

I have had the opportunity to use her for 2 very different issues. I had a hyperstrained muscle in my back which radiated through my chest and it felt like a heart problem. Even a trip to the emergency room yielded no positive results. In my appointment with Dr Cruz, she located the source of the pain, and gave me an injection into the problem muscle. It immediately relaxed and the entirety of the pain and discomfort were gone within 10 minutes total. A miracle in my mind. My second issue was 2 years later as I was experiencing pain with what is normally associated with sciatica caused by lower back issues. After 2 1/2 months of therapy from a chiropractor in which things were only getting worse, I made an appointment with Dr Cruz. She located the source of the pain. She developed a non-surgical treatment plan which involved a non-invasive radio frequency procedure. One treatment and I felt all pain disappear. Another miracle in my opinion.
