After removing the old fence, he left all of the debris--large pieces of the old fence and scraps--piled in my side yard instead of hauling them away or cleaning up the area. He returned a few days later to install a gate. When he finished, I went into the backyard and found that several of my bushes had been pulled out by the roots and left lying on the ground. He also left the section of fence he removed to install the gate simply lying in the yard. There was also an issue with the gate pricing. I was originally quoted $300 for the gate. When he arrived to install it, he showed me a Home Depot receipt for $279 just for the materials. When I asked about the difference, he didn't offer much explanation and simply said he would charge $100 for labor so we would be "close" to the original quote. What was most frustrating is that it would have been very easy for him to clean up after himself and communicate. A quick call from Home Depot to let me know the materials were going to cost more would have been appreciated. Overall, I felt like the job was done with minimal effort and attention to detail. I expect contractors to take pride in their work and leave the property in good condition, and unfortunately that didn't happen here.

I do remember you and your white pickup truck coming to my house and telling me all work that will be done is professional and all I need to do afterwords is paint. The "professionals" you got coming to the house were careless. Their texturing left a mess in the living room because they didn't seal the area properly. They did not tape off the wall that didn't need texturing. Their response was for me to wash the wall because the texture will come right off. The cracked areas of the drywall ONLY occurred on the areas that you worked on. NO OTHER AREA IN MY HOME HAS THIS. and this home was built over 20yrs ago. your work only lasted about a year. There was no illusion on the work of the raised drywall. I felt it and YOUR response when you felt it was that it was an illusion. A person with some sort of experience would know that there is an issue with the work if they felt it, but you just wanted to get your money and leave. You can change the format of your invoice after you see it was your job but it does no not change the fact that it was your work. I'm sure you don't like the review, but the work is sloppy. If you want to lie about it, it's fine, but people should know on who to bring in before they spend their hard-earned money to fix their homes.

I contacted several places, and Dana was not only the most responsive, he was the fairest priced and the most comprehensive. He came on site to quote the project to make sure that he thoroughly understood and could give me an accurate price. I thought that I would have to find a separate vendor for the subsequent painting, but he did that too, and that made the whole process seamless. I had a window of about 10 days before I had houseguests arriving. I told Dana I could do the project before or after their visit. He had a crew on site the next day and it was all completed with 2 days to spare. Both the drywall and paint teams were excellent. They prepped well and cleaned up very well afterwards. They were very easy to communicate with. The informed me of what would happen each day and asked questions where any clarification was needed. It was a big effort for me, but the inconvenience was minimized because they took great care with their work and were respectful of my home. The quality of the work was excellent. There was one unanticipated issue discovered when I went to put everything back after the work was completed. I informed Dana of it and he had a guy come out to resolve it to my satisfaction. I couldn't be happier with the work that Above It All did. I have already recommended them to friends and would most definitely use them again.

After scraping the old texture, they skimmed drywall mud on taped joints and nail holes so that they very not noticeable after painting. The owner Dana was very thorough and easy to get along with, and I found him very accommodating to revise his schedule around my own schedule. Both the texture removal crews and finish painting crews were excellent. They were very conscientious of my furnishings and carpeting, by taping plastic all around to protect them from damage and debris. Overall, I was extremely pleased with the final results and the quality of their work.
