He was always punctual or communicated where he was at all times and the window of arrival. He came ready with all plastic tarps and painter's tape so that he never left a mess at my place, like some others have done. Even when this was a 2-day job, he set up, took things apart, and set it up the next day again, just so I wouldn't have to deal with the plastic everywhere. When he left for the day, you would never have known that I had someone out doing work that day. These are the basics that some contractors in OC just don't seem to understand. And this is why I would easily choose him again. I had some holes to patch up after getting recessed lights installed and he did a great job, with the texture and all. I didn't have the ceiling paint so he had to go out and get the closest match. It's not a literal match and I can see the difference in color, but I'm okay with that since others will probably not notice unless I point it out. He also left the paint with me as I requested, which is only right since I paid for the materials. Some contractors who were giving me quotes tried to charge extra to "leave behind the paint" which is just unconscionable. Prices are also great.

Plus, they really care about the quality of their work and take pride in making clients happy. Our job was complex since we had a separate GC handling most of our home reno, but we did not like their drywall sub or their drywall pricing. So we needed to find someone else to handle a large chunk of the drywall. We knew when we met John that he was our guy. There were a couple instances where we needed to expand scope, and John's pricing was always fair. He was also able to notice a number of errors / inconsistencies made by other subs, and generally he went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. We will most definitely work with John and team again whenever we have drywall needs. I'd urge you to do the same!

Frankly, we couldn't be more pleased at our good fortune to have Rolando and Jeanne step up and tackle the project. My father-in-law was a carpenter and general contractor and my husband learned much about his trade first hand. My husband does much of the work himself, but occasionally he needs the skill and craft of a pro. Finding a contractor that can live up to my husband's standard of craftsmanship and detail is nearly impossible. But after our estimate appointment and explaining expectations, we knew R&J was the right team. The day of work, Rolando showed up with a small team to tackle the project. To be clear, they were professional, respectful of the property (everything was covered in painter plastic, stairs were covered with drop cloth) and the quality of the work exceeded my expectations. If you need the type of services R&J provided, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND reaching out to Rolando and Jeanne. Not just great at what they do but also very kind and considerate people.

Rather than argue the point I would rather just state it here clearly and let you decide for yourself. They're self admitted mid bid priced so I would get many.
