The pastries are very good - delicious actually - and reasonably priced. However, if you are not part of the community, they won't give you the time of day and you will feel it. They will treat you like an outsider. It's a bit discriminatory if you are not part of the community if you know what I mean. It's a tradeoff though. I came across this bakery today while while in the area and I was surprised at the quantity of goodies they offer. They have it all, cakes, baked goods, dried fruits, candy.... My family and I have been coming here for years! We absolutely love love love their cakes, pastries and cookies. Something I always pick up is their Swiss roll like cake (regular or mocha) the Armenian sweet bread, and the Eastern European chocolates! All the baked good are made in house and so reasonabley priced, I will always be coming back! read more

This is a very popular bakery in Glendale, and can get really crowded from time to time, specially during holiday season. Service can be hit or miss, but our recent visit left us with very welcoming attitude. Quality of the baked goods are not as superb as before. We got Eclairs and mini fruit tartlets. The shell on the Eclairs were so thick and fruits on the tartlets were old and one of the berries was moldy, you can clearly tell that they were old. Also we got cookies which were pretty nice. Ladies at the register were really nice and actually care to talk to you. There are not much ambiance, the set up shows they are ready to handle large crowds. This place is disgusting. Don't ever go here. On 02/22/2024 at 5:29 pm I went there to buy Baklava. The Baklava didn't look good so I looked around to see what else they had. I decided to buy a vanilla roulette that had shaved pistachio and roses. When I asked the employee if she recommends that she said yes. I didn't look at the roulette or I'm guessing neither did they. After the roulette was unwrapped and the plastic was taken off there were visible signs of mold, the pistachio had mold all over it. It was so embarrassing I felt so uncomfortable because I took it to somebody's house. Also not only was it growing mold it smelled foul. The next day I called the bakery, and I let them know that the roulette was old and it had mold on it and I asked for a credit. The employee said she can't do that. I told her that it's not my fault they sold me something that was growing mold. She repeated that she can't give me a credit, and told me to call and talk to her boss. When I asked when the boss will be in, she said that she didn't know. She was no help. I'm sure this is all coming from the boss and the owners. Don't ever go to this place. This place should go out of business. I'm gonna report them to the CDPH. read more

I have been to this bakery only 2 times and was very disappointed and disturbed at the lack of professionalism from the staff. Whatever happened to customer service?The first time I went into this bakery, the lady behind the counter was fighting with a customer, telling them to shut up. I was in total shock, but just minded my own business. The second time I went into this bakery, there was another argument between an employee and a customer. The lady at the counter kept telling the customer that she needs to hurry up and that she was very busy, even though there were only two customers in the entire store . When one of the other customers heard the commotion, she jumped into the conversation and told the staff that her behavior was not appropriate and that they need to improve on their customer service as she had been coming there for years and it always seems to be a problem every time she walks into this bakery. Glendale has some amazing bakeries. I strongly suggest passing on this place and finding a better place with more patient kindness and professional staff. I will never come to this bakery again not only was it filthy, but the staff have very poor attitudes. Shame on them. read more

If you are standing in line patiently waiting your turn, if another Armenian person behind you YELLS OUT their order over yours, the people behind the pasty counter will ignore you completely and will attend to the needs of their own people as if you were non-existence the entire time. I asked to speak to the owner, or the manager in charge and was told that she was not there, while another person in the store pulled me over and told me that in fact she (the manager) was in the back the entire time. When I got to the casher, I was told there would be an additional 6% charge if I were to use my ATM DEBIT card. When I asked WHY, the cashier looks at me as if I had just asked her to pay for my bill out of her own pocket. Again I proceeded to ask to see the store manager, again I was told she was not in today. So, I leave the store without purchasing a single item and I was stopped in the parking lot by a nice gentleman telling me that he had been watching the way I was being treated while he was in the store and he was very apologetic for the way the staff had behaved. He proceeded to tell me that this place had a very bad reputation for having some of the rudest employees and that many people have not come back to this bakery since they re-opened while they had been ---SHOT-DOWN for months for having *** VERMIN INFESTATION***. He too had left the store without his purchases since a $30 cake that he had placed an order for had in fact been costing him $50 by the time he got to the cashier. He was told the extra $20 was an additional charge for placing an order. So please do your research and stay as far away from this bakery as possible. There are many many more bakeries in Glendale that will treat you with respect and won't try to rip you off if you decide to use your ATM DEBIT card. Today we bought a Pastery box from this establishment.They Lied to us and told us it was freshly baked. We got home and my son who was going to eat this pastry found a whole bunch of mold in it. For a pastry to form mold it usually takes around 5 days. These people do not care about there customers health and are trying to get rid of their old food. This is absolutely disgusting. Me and my family have been customers for years. We love the pastries here, from their assorted cookies, to their yummy, fresh fruit tarts and cakes! Very reasonable prices compared to most bakeries these days, and the flavors are great! Their mocha cake is to die for! And any of their assorted cookies is also an absolute favorite! You can practically find any Persian/Armenian related goodies here. The staff is wonderful, always so friendly and helpful! I recently walked in and was looking for a specific design for my sister's bday cake, and they went beyond with making sure it went with my sister's theme. No extra charges!! She loved it! I saw the top of the box that our crunchy, pan dulce came in and it was in their native language. The box was sooo cute by the way; blue and with red letters!! Normally I take customer service into account when I'm reviewing a place, but honestly when I'm getting some pastries to-go customer service isn't my number 1 concern- it's the quality of the pastries. Yesterday was the first time I went to this bakery. My mom and I were like little kids in a candy shop. We literally just about got one of everything. Sure, the lady that was helping my mom and I looked exasperated with us...but honestly who cares. She didn't say anything and we got our pastries and left, so it wasn't important. Now to what WAS important, the pastries. OMG so fresh and SO good. We got one of everything, as I said earlier, just to see what we liked the best so we'd know what to order next time. My favorite by far was the filo dough with the date in the middle. They brought them fresh out of the oven for us and the were delectable. Honestly, they were the best persian/armenian pastry I've ever had, and I don't normally even really like dates! Everything else was great. I wish I knew the exact names to things so I could go more into detail, but another favorite of ours was the almond and honey little mini-bar type things. I think they may have been the #12? They were amazing. The prices on these pastries were unreal as well. $5 per pound?? We got a huge box full of fresh random pastries for $7??? Amazing. Also: If you're a fan of Persian ice cream, (which if you haven't tried you NEED TO GO TRY BECAUSE IT'S AMAZING) come here and buy a jug of the Mashti Malone's ice cream. Oh man, I honestly freaked out when I saw that they carried this ice cream, it's so much more convenient then driving to the La Brea Mashti Malone ice cream shop! They have the rosewater flavor as well as the saffron rosewater flavor, just in case anyone cares. So to wrap up this rambling review: 1. go to Flor De Cafe bakery 2. who cares if they're rude, the pastries are great/fresh/priced well 3. get the Mashti Malone ice cream. read more
