Coming up short on so many other potential contractors, I mistakenly searched the web using this company's name--thinking it was another that I had been in contact with. I was impressed by CNY Flooring's online customer photos and testimonials, and afterward the willingness of the owner to arrange a free estimate, then finally and most of all the excellent pricing. I purchased my own tile elsewhere, and used CNY Flooring for the installation only. The owner Sid and his assistant did such awesome work and clean-up after that I'm now considering having more flooring work where I hadn't even thought of it before. I will provide an update and photos when the last piece is installed. But, I can tell you already that if you're looking for quality, timeliness, professionalism, and reasonable pricing, look no further. CNY Flooring is one of the best that I've encountered in 20 years here in Syracuse, and more than a half dozen tile flooring contractors in my home over the years. The caller indicated that he was concerned about our desire to protect our hardwood floors when moving furniture . He either has too much work , or he wants customers who don't give a rats ass if his installers do damage to the homeowners belongings . If you don't care about home damage , this is your guy . Otherwise , do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

Installer complained loud enough for me to hear while working, used our washroom several times without asking, and packed up and left without speaking to me or saying goodbye. The same area was carpeted by Cobourg's Home Depot five years ago and the installer was polite and went about his business in a professional manner. The sales staff at Ontario Carpet Supermart were helpful, but couldn't make up for the unprofessional manner of their installer. Won't be shopping here again.
