Warning: Do not use Flipcause! Like so many others on Yelp, we are not able to get our donations from them after repeated requests. It has gotten progressively worse in 2025. Nonprofits should be extremely cautious before working with Flipcause. Our organization is still waiting for the release of critical funds, despite full compliance with their requirements. On May 23, [year], their representative blamed ACH daily limits for the delay--yet their own Terms and Conditions (Section 17.3, updated September 3, 2024) contradict this claim. These withheld funds have disrupted our programming, jeopardized contractor payments, and caused significant operational strain. The lack of transparency and conflicting explanations raise serious questions about their practices and reliability. Do not use FlipCause! While the software product is good, it is impossible to get your money from them. They claim it's an issue with their ACH vendor. Really? Then change it!! We are a small charity that depends on every dollar but we continuously have problems getting the donations transferred out of FlipCause to our bank. It's been over 60 days and we have sent texts, emails, left numerous messages but NO ONE will call us back. This is the second time in 4 months that it has happened. I give them a negative rating for their lack of customer service, not delivering on their promises and failure to respond to our complaints, and their disregard for the small charities who depend on timely delivery of funds. read more

We are a small nonprofit serving local law enforcement. When an officer faces medical, mental health or catastrophic events we help. We have been using Flipcause for several years and for a while they were great. Then the funds transfers slowed to a crawl And customer service went away. It's been two months since we requested our funds transferred and we still have no answers and no funds. Our mission will suffer if we do not get these funds soon and we are looking for a class action law suit to join. Already filed complaints with BBB, the California attorney generals office and the federal trade commission. Speaking to an attorney on Friday. This is horrible! Withholding large amounts of money. We used to have to request it even after transfer request. Our payouts would take over a month. Now we are getting told it has to be verified by their ACH department and it will be another 5-7 days.. but its been well over that. They will end up shutting us down with the money being withheld. Is there a. Class action lawsuit started yet? This is absolutely not acceptable, and totally illegal!!! We are a small non-profit and Flipcause started out great. They helped us get our donors organized and helped us with our campaigns and fundraising platforms. But for the last 2 years it has been an act of God to get our funds transferred from them. There has to be something else going on, every single time for over a year we get the same excuse and it keeps taking over a month at least to get our funds into our account. This is unacceptable, steer clear of this company. No matter how great they are everywhere else it's not worth this hassle. Started out great but now Flipcause is taking down small nonprofits by refusing to remit our money in not just the timely manner they agreed upon but not remitting at all! Something rotten here. For the last 2+ years, they've been having major issues actually transferring us the money we raised through their platform. They keep citing some sort of issue with their ACH provider - are they genuinely saying that, in this day and age, they can't solve this basic aspect of their service? Our non-profit is having the same challenges as described by others. Truly, we had funds held for four months and I'm still sending almost daily messages to the company to receive requested transfers well past the 7-10 days per their company policy. The Flipcause representative is citing issues with their ACH process, which they claim will be fixed soon. Unfortunately, it appears this has been a months-long problem. This is certainly suspect behavior by this company. If you are looking for a fundraising platform, DO NOT USE FLIPCAUSE. Check out the BBB website. I would give a zero to Flipcause if I could. As all the other complaints have stated, we are a small nonprofit in the Bay Area and we want our donations owed to us. Flipcause is holding our donations hostage! A few years ago, we agreed to sign a contract with Flipcause to support local organization (they are in Oakland). During their sales pitch they made all kinds of promises regarding future integrations for accounting and email platforms. The first year was fine but we noticed several bugs in their system and met with their support team. The bugs were never fixed and now, we are experiencing the same unacceptable issue that others have complained about - Flipcause is holding our donations! For the past 2 years, we had to issue multiple request to retrieve funds donated to us. On average it takes about two or more months to obtain our money. The issue is gotten worse in this last year to a point where it's impossible to talk to an actual human. They discontinued their support line and resort to unhelpful chats and slow response to our emails. We have filed complaints with the BBB and will be filing one with the California Attorney General's office and possibly the Fraud division of the FTC. Best of luck to the other orgs in obtain your funds. We're hoping that Flipcause doesn't file for bankruptcy although it seems inevitable. read more

We use flipcause as our non profit donation portal and about every 2 months we request accumulated funds to be transferred to our bank account. They state that this should take 7-10 days, but over the past year, the transfers have taken well over a month, and they only happen after multiple complaints. I am extremely disappointed in this process and considering moving to a new platform is this is not addressed ASAP. read more

Flipcause does not transfer funds in a timely manner. They state trasfers will happen in 7-10 business days, but that is not the case. I wish I could put zero stars. We use flipcause to collect donations and admission to fundraisers. They hold your money hostage. I have thousands in the merchant account, it's not getting transferred, and you can only chat with a person about it and they do NOT let you talk to the people in the company who handle the money transfer issues. It's horrendous. It's the worst customer service you will ever experience. Lots of scripted "I am so sorry I empathize with your complaint", but you cannot talk to anyone and there are no answers. I caution anyone thinking they can easily work with this platform for this and other reasons- and do NOT expect your money in 7-10 days like they say, it's going to be over and month and maybe even more. Before Flipcause, my arts organization was using several other software products to meet our needs, and the process was cumbersome and time-consuming. Since starting to use Flipcause 2 years ago, we've been thrilled. I've saved countless hours being able to manage my donors, volunteers, and events in one place. My success manager, Sean, has gone above and beyond helping me brainstorm new fundraising ideas, and when I have questions the customer support team always gets back to me within a day. It's some of the most responsive support I've ever received with a software product! One thing about Flipcause that I love is how quickly they're releasing new features. I have been so pleased with Flipcause-- not only does this company offer an AMAZING donation portal for its participating nonprofits, but it also has excellent customer service. Whenever I have a question or a concern, I get a reply within hours. The donation portal is sleek easy to use. Donors love it because it gives them the opportunity to specify exactly WHAT they would like their donation to go to. It makes donors aware of the cost of transaction, and gives them the opportunity to cover that cost. It also provides customers with a means of obtaining a donor receipt.
