Few websites in France cater to US customers. I don't like using a global service, which keeps so much of the money for itself. This money goes straight to the local florist. They almost seemed unreal! I like to buy flowers on vacation to make my stay feel more luxurious, and I think they really make a place feel more like a home. 7 Euros (about $10) bought us three of the largest blood-red, most perfect peonies I have ever seen in my life. They even died beautifully, losing all their petals in a slow fragrant death by a kitchen window. Just gorgeous. Buying flowers here means the staff will take your bunch, arrange it into a bouquet for you, wrap plastic and paper in a such a way as to strategically show them off while protecting them during travel. For such a simple, small thing it was a fun tourist experience and likely one of the best flower buying experiences ever.
