Went for breakfast this morning...and OMG so glad we did. Love the press coffee, unfortunately wasn't able to try their deviled eggs but had the B Sprouts and What. A. Flavor. Combo! The crispy texture of the sprouts with the vinegar reduction and salty bacon was so good. I had the Benedict and my husband had the burger with fries, both were worthy of the clean plates that we left behind. Service is on point and love that they kept some of the images and tile work from the historic eat rite. Highly recommend!! read more

small diner serving good food. we had brunch there and enjoyed the breakfast sandwich and " the slinger". he had an ole fashion and i had coffee. you sit at the counter in this fifteen seat cafe so service is swift . you can tell by watching the cook that hours of prep are involved to keep food rolling out. the downside to the tasty meal was the temp. potatoes were plated prior to other items and lost some of their crispy texture. cocktails were well made but a little light on the pour. while i enjoyed my visit, i probably won't return. there are too many more options offering a greater menu selection and possibly better food at a better price. read more

Great little local spot close to the stadium. Enjoyed homemade biscuits and gravy, homemade blueberry jam, French pinion soup. Benedict of the day was country ham with Dijonaise hollandsise. I walked in on Friday around 11:30 am. There was plenty of parking for such a small place. Most seats surround the bar and there a few not at the bar and a patio. There is one cook so be patient when you go in. There were two people working and they were both very nice and efficient. The food was really good. I drove across the Mississippi River to fill my car up with gas. I could do this before or after what I am officially calling Brunch. I had a plan: If the parking lot is not full at @fleur.stl I would stop and eat. If it was full, I would try a day during the week.  The lot was almost empty so I turned in and parked. "Hi! Welcome!" is all I heard and smiles were all I saw. There were only three people eating or waiting to eat. Tim was on the grill doing the genius he does and Cory was busy making sure everyone was happy. Me, well I was reading the menu, being nosy, and looking at other people's plates.  Now, there are already lots of awesome reviews and articles about Fleur STL (and they deserve them) so I will not repeat what so many have already said. I want to focus on a few things that I loved: First, the Fresh Pork Sausage! When I took a bite of the sausage, childhood memories of eating breakfast at my grandmother's house and family reunions in Grenada, Mississippi came flooding in. I even asked Tim, "is this fresh sausage?" and very modestly he said, "yes, we season it ourselves' '. Second, The Homemade Biscuit was soft, fluffy, and delicious.  Third, the Jam for the Biscuit _ I have no idea what Cory said the flavor was because a Michael Jackson song was playing through the speakers and I was dancing in my seat while eating. I enjoyed my meal and the conversation with Tim, Cory, and the customers. Finally, I will always be grateful to them for allowing me to show a little kindness today. My new favorite brunch spot and possibly the best burger in STL. We visited Fleur on a Saturday just before lunch time. I was a little worried we would have to fight a crowd to get in because the building is rather small, but we lucked out and walked right in to a seat at the bar. The space: They have done a beautiful job updating the space. It was a diner prior to this so the majority of the seating is at the bar with a few creative seating options along the front windows and a small patio. Food and drinks: I was torn between a bloody or the espresso martini so we got both. The presentation and the flavor were equality delightful. The staff puts a lot of care into the way the present their food and drinks. The simple B&G's were delish and even had a garnish that gave a simple dish a elevated look. While everything on the menu sounded delicious I couldn't pass up trying the burger. This was the best decision I made all month. Juicy Patties, gooey cheese, and that thick cut bacon...game over. They could easily have the best burger in STL. Staff: They were great and really seemed to care about the customers and presentation. The best way I can describe my experience is " thoughtful." While on a work trip, my coworkers and I were looking for a local spot for brunch. Let me just warn you: this place is not for vegetarians or pescatarians- which I am! HOWEVER- the chefs were so kind to provide alternative dishes for me as I was the only non-meat eater in the group. They lovingly prepared a delicious stack of pancakes and scrambled eggs that I devoured! You can tell the eggs were fresh and REAL! My coworkers are variations of burgers, but k was amazed by the burger that was smothered in chili. My coworkers commented on how extremely delicious their dishes were. I was also impressed by how well the space has been used. Fleur provided excellent service and care. I hope to visit again when in St. Louis, and I hope there will magically be a salmon option read more

I finally got a chance to try Fleur STL for lunch and I'm so happy I did! It's an easy place to go when you're dining by yourself I just grabbed a seat at the bar. It was a little early for a burger but I just couldn't resist it looked so good on the menu. I paired it with a little basket of fries and a French 75. Everything I had was stellar! The burger was hot off the griddle and melt in your mouth good. The fries weren't too greasy which I like and the cocktail was light and refreshing. I will most definitely be back! read more

This is some elevated diner food. Not in a pretentious sort of way, but in a "wow that was good" way. The menu is compact, and our server apologized for taking a bit to take our order, but he was busy the entire time before he got to us. He, and all the staff, were very friendly and pleasant, with an enjoyable patter or chatter throughout our stay. The deviled eggs with candied bacon and jalapeno set the table up right for what's to follow. The candied bacon is not a bunch of crumbled bacon, but rather a section of bacon stuck in the deviled that lets you get that added chew sensation of breaking down the meat. And the jalapeno similarly is a breaded and fried thin slice - not hot, just a warm flavor addition. The slinger will make you curse any place where you have gotten a slinger before. It starts with a large, juicy fried burger patty. The hash is good size pieces of potato also fried up, top that with a slice of melting American cheese (probably the only "standard" item in it), then over easy eggs that have enough thickness in the yolk to not run everywhere. I went with a half chili/half gravy topper - which was a perfect blend to complement the other and enhance the savoriness. And then a tall pile of thin onion hay. The presentation was as nice as the food was delicious. If you don't get the seasonal eggs benedict, then you have to get a slinger - both are what I'd call signature dishes. The wife's biscuit 'n gravy was also great. A big fresh square of a biscuit topped with that flavorful, sausage milk gravy and a sprig of rosemary to tease you. This is a place to come back to repeatedly. read more

Finally made it to Fleur STL (native St. Louisians will remember it as Eat Rite diner). You sit in stools around the open kitchen. Wanted brunch, late on a Sunday. This spot was perfect. Had wonderful Bloody Mary, with candied bacon, citrus and olives. Mic is served separately, so you can mix your own strength. I went with the season beny, BLT Benedict...Applewood bacon, Roma tomatoes, spinach, and yummy hollandaise. This was so tasty . In a surprise move, those of us remaining just before closing, were treated to a complimentary biscuit with fresh made mango, strawberry, vanilla bean jam. They bake fresh and do not reuse leftover biscuits. We got lucky...very lucky. The biscuit were heavenly, and that jam...well, it was THE JAM! Don't wait to try out this diner. read more

Wow. We literally just came here for a Bloody Mary, and ended up staying for food. Was excited when I realized this is the old eat rite building. So awesome to see it still being used, and more amazing that it is a place we will most definitely frequent. Obviously it's a very small place, so seating is pretty limited. They did mention they would be adding a patio for warmer weather. Will be so cool with views of the stadium and the arch right next door. The place feels like an upscale diner. Super cute and intimate. I love that everything is being made right in front of you. We ordered our Bloody Mary's, and upon seeing the food being made and served we had to at least split something. We landed on the Eggs Benedict which was pork tenderloin. The Bloody Mary was fantastic, and so cute that they served it where you poured the mix in yourself. The Eggs Benedict, absolutely to die for. The best Hollandaise sauce I've ever had. The breakfast potatoes served with it were so super good as well. I really love everything about this place, including the staff. Everyone was so nice, and attentive. Was awesome hearing the chef talk about the restaurant, the menu, sourcing ingredients, and his vision going forward. Its clear he has such a passion for food, and it really comes through at Fleur. This diner is the place of my brunch dreams. The menu offered simple bacon egg dishes to more creative takes on eggs Benedict ( changed seasonally maybe weekly/daily), slinger and more. Need a little change in your dish of choice, happy to accommodate. I had the slinger and had my face in my plate until it was gone. If you miss the brussel sprouts you missed a lot! Brunch magic in a small cooking area located in front of the limited counter seating. Many regulars popping in and getting a by name greeting. Nice drink menu as well. The restaurant till has its greasy spoon layout although it has been completely remodeled and looks like a high end Clayton restaurant. It was afternoon when I arrived but opted for a breakfast selection, the brisket eggs Benedict with one of the best hollandaise sauce I have ever tasted, and breakfast potatoes (seasoned perfectly). The Chef (Tim) was very engaging with customers at the counter and showed a true love of cooking. Looking forward to stopping back in and trying one of those amazing looking burgers with hand cut fries. Brunch on Sunday morning, used to park next to this place when I went to the Cardinals game, used to be a Maid Rite I believe. Place was full but it's not very big. Tried this place for Sunday breakfast & we were very impressed! The food selections are eclectic, made to order & delicious. I had the seasonal eggs Benedict, which included salmon & hollandaise sauce with Cajun seasoning - excellent. My wife raved about the deviled eggs that were garnished with fried jalapeño slices & candied bacon. The place is small with primarily counter seating- I counted 14 seats, but the staff (I assume owners) are super efficient so the wait was not bad & well worth it.
