It was nice to walk through, discover and re-discover some varieties that bring you back to childhood memories. The first view you have when you climb the little path is really astonishing! What I found a bit excessive is the price: 9€ for the gardens visit, 1€ for the guide and you still have to add 5€ if you want to visit the abbey. A bit too much for me. And also, they should put the name of each area on them because you can pass by interesting things if you don't know it's the area.

Being lucky enough to have both a spacious front and back garden, I am always on the look out for gorgeous new plants. I usually buy my lavendar and herbs from Flower City round the corner and go to Wyevale Garden Centre for everything else. It's expensive but the stock is always varied and extremely good quality. They have plant pots, soil, gardening furniture and seeds inside and a massive selection of seasonal and perennial flowers, plants and fruit trees inside. I've bought everything from rosemary, thyme and chilli plants to dahlias and rose bushes and everything has grown beautifully. In fact, if I could afford it I'd go back tomorrow and order fig and olive trees for next spring.

Then take a stroll around the beautiful garden center. It was great to see the lush plant life that's so diverse from what we have back home in Colorado. The selection of sweets was just what I wanted and not the kind of stuff you'd find at the grocery store. And the books! A little something for eveyone and I good sense of humor. I was lucky enough to be see some of their Christmas displays and they did not disappoint - Harmonizing doo-wop penguins and a rock and roll band of Santas! The only downside was that my luggage was too small to let me take home all the souvenirs I wanted to pick up in the shop.
